For a vintage coat the fit is "passable" .. certainly the sleeves are short but that's what makes vintage intriguing.
A tailor /seamstress can tell you if there is extra material folded in the sleeve to add some length..
@Mich486, the facts are the facts, the genesis of SB as a jacket manufacturer are based on Alexander Leather and a former Aero employee. Some people have an issue with it.

The A1 is a very light jacket in both weight and its ability to keep you warm, the two front pockets are very small and are fairly useless. I had one for a while and I had no issues with the lightness of the capeskin as it is pretty durable in general.
It definitely looks oversized, which is ok if that's what you're looking for.. But if you desire a "traditional" fit .. Either a size down or alter some of the measurements

Iron Heart have one with handwarmers..no shearling but if they made this one in my size I would have no problem ordering one..comes in brown also
