I think this question will get different answers...
Some people care about the "all original" sticker more than the usability of the item.
I personally care more about usability, i would pay more for a vintage jacket with a pro lining change that is invisible than i would for a vintage jacket...
I hope it is OK for me to post this, if not feel free to delete:
Answer from Ken on VLJ
"This is a one of, I'm not going to get into this online but these factors come into it
I expected this anyway, Stephane threated to "expose" Aero if we didn't refund him yet AGAIN
He has placed six orders...
From the T&C:
Terms of payment are as stated on acceptance order and/or invoice. A 25% non-refundable deposit will be taken for all custom orders at point of order acceptance with the remainder of the fee taken at completion before delivery. A late payments surcharge may be levied on overdue...
Problem with that logic is "when do you stop expecting a small business to bend the rules for you?"
My brother runs an online instrument shop, he has had a guy ask to return an instrument after three months, his excuse "my wife found out i bought it and didn't want me to, please can i return it...
John is refunding but also incapable of delivering on his promise. If the OP had the money he would receive a jacket, most likely within promised time.
These are two different situations.
@Tefouane can you not ask them to keep the deposit on hold untill you can sort things out?
I think they did what they were legaly bound to do.
The fully paid jacket was refunded since it could be considered a return on a shipped item.
A deposit is a deposit, you don't get it back when you change your mind, it's the point of a deposit!
I see nothing wrong there, you are not special...
That is actually a cool idea!
I own a camera lens hand built by an old Japanese man in his basemant (Mr Miyazaki), someone obsessed with his lenses decided to make a book of pictures taken with his lenses and offer him the book as a thank you.
He asked all the owners of the lenses around the...
You make it sound like it is an advertising "look at the multiple styles you could pull off with a perfecto" book more than anything else... The jacket pictured in the pics you showed don't even look worn in.
Let me guess, do they open with the classic "since Marlon Brando wore a perfecto in the...
Can't answer your question as i have never seen the Aero goat, but try using google to search "goat vs vicenza fedora lounge" in my experience it works a lot better to search that way rather than using the built in forum search.
Good luck.
Not real shearling unfortunately, its just yellow fleece, very fluffy though..
It does have camel hair stormcuffs that go from just below the elbow down to the wrist.
The swedes know how to make a cold weather jacket...
My GF wearing my (well hers now...) vintage Swedish Motorjacka:
These are really cool. This is a size 48 and is a tiny bit small for me, i might look for a size 50 for myself.
Thanks @torfjord.
That's flawed logic... You can't compare two different patterns like that.
The reason the J-100 has good mobility is because it was designed without gussets and with good mobility from the start. That doesn't guarantee in anyway that a pattern that was designed with gussets will allow the same...
On my jacket it is clearly a problem with the lining, nothing to do with the piping.
If you lay the jacket flat it is super obvious that the lining is a good 1" too short for the back length.
I asked Langlitz and they said it was never something they did on purpouse, so i assume it was a screw...
I have the same thing going on in my Langlitz, in my case the lining is obviously too short for the jacket, pulling the leather up and creating a weird bulge:
I have used Pecards and Lexol.
I like the lexol cleaner, but am not a fan of the Lexol conditionner, IMO it doesn't do much other than give your jacket a shiny coat.
My usual course of action when i get a second hand jacket is to wash it with a soft sponge using luke warm water and lexol...
