I must admit I just purchased one of these actually. I plan on placing it on a no longer working vintage rotary dial phone base. Then I will have a mysterious wireless vintage phone that somehow receives calls from my cell phone...;)

I've only been here about three months, but within a weeks time, this place became a daily addiction. There is always a good conversation going on about something interesting.
So sorry to hear about that Art. Though I'm sure you treasure the year you had with Bronze. Hang in there, and know you have the support of everyone here.
I'm a training investigator, so I suppose the trenchcoat and fedora makes me look like your basic gumshoe from the 40's. Generally though, if I'm wearing my fedora, I'm not working-at least not in the field. You have to blend in, and fedoras aren't the best way to do that generally.
Ironically, the trenchcoat and fedora garb could resemble a whole bunch of people, from Dick Tracy to Inspector Gadget, to Humphrey Bogart, to just some random guy from the 30's.
I guess what I've learned is that I'm not the only one under 30.
In fact, I find it shocking (in a good way) that I'm not the youngest person here to wear a fedora or listen to phonograph records! :eek:
It is my belief that the cell phone is both an ingenious invention, and a curse. First, the ability to contact a member of your family, a friend, or someone in an emergency (car accident, etc) is simply handy. I'm sure we can all think of times when having our cell phone on us has really made...
