    Aero Thunderbay fit question

IMO most Aero's have oversized chest measurement for their tag size. Both my Bootleggers have 24.5" p2p for a size 40, and my size 40 grizzly is 25.5" p2p. My 40 Cafe Racer is also 24" p2p. In every other brand i own that measurement would be for a size 42 or 44. It would be hard to say if in...

    FQHH - loosening/stretching?

I have had this jacket for a while, have tried everything i could to stretch the shoulders and chest and nothing has worked: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/fs-freewheelers-san-mateo-peters-aviator-jacket.97651/ When i bought my fairst pair of Frye engineer i was told by the salesman...

    FQHH - loosening/stretching?

In my experience breaking in many leather jackets including a few CXL one, this is a bad idea. Leather does not really stretch, it will conform to your body, but you will not get significant stretch like you would with denim for example. When people say loosen up they mean going from card board...

    Good Wear Hercules

I don't understand how his reputation isn't shot on VLJ, i had a look through that forum recently and could not believe how bad it is, to quote another TFL member, it really is "such a toxic cesspool". How does someone with his way of doing business not get instant mob justice over there is a...

    Himel Kensington Shinki

I didn't know it was done either untill i saw "Gimme Danger" a couple years ago, there is an interview of Iggi where he wears a cafe racer with the folded collar like that. Straight away i tried it, and to me it is more comfortable, i think a Cafe Racer collar is a pain especialy with a beard...

    LW Grain and Patina Thread

@Boyo, that looks even better than it did a week ago. This is without a doubt your best looking/fitting jacket! The grain of the OP is amazing, i hope my back panel ends up looking like that.

Aero Highwayman in big size (UK 52) - advice/experience

Straight from Vanson: "We don't have to modify the front and back length at the same time. You can choose to shorten the front and keep the back as is. Or the other way around." I have 4 and IMO they are great jackets, i am actually planning my 5th one.

    Good Wear Hercules

I have had a thought about all that. On one hand i agree with you, functionality should be most important... On the other hand, i can't help but think that if all we cared about was functionality, very few of us would still be here... Really the only time i "need" leather is on the bike, and if...
