    What is peeling off isn't dye, it's a pigment finish. Dye can't peel, it's literally the leather changing colour, only mechanical abrasion will get rid of colour by removing the dyed layer of leather.

    That looks great. The leather on that looks really matte compared to old Cal leather. Almost like a Schott naked cowhide vibe. If you get an opportunity to take close up shots in natural light one day it would be great. If you have an old Cal to take side by side shots even better!

    I kinda agree with @Monitor, many people on the lounge have put jackets in the washing machine, and I have also read about people putting jackets in driers with tennis balls to break them in. Admitedly he most likely used high heat in both washing or drying, but still this isn't a great sign...

    Question for Lost Worlds J-23/J-24 size 46 and 48 owners

    I didn't size up on my J-23, it's a size 42L. According to Stuart i would also be a 42 in CHP and Leathertogs, he also says there is 2" circumference difference between sizes. My 42 is 22.5 pit to pit. If you follow the 2" up logic, I woud guess that a 44 is 23.5", a 46 24.5" and a 48 25.5"...

    Completely unrelated, but is the use of the term "petite" common with a masculine subject in the US? Or is it a typo? In french a woman would be described as "petite", but a man would be "petit" with a mute T in the end. Using "petite" for a man feels all kind of wrong... Is this another case...
