What Did You Drink Last Night?

I dunno, a lot of the stuff that comes through the door says 'Not For Sale in California' lol And there's another place that does that a couple miles down the road, too. Our prices are better, though.

What Did You Drink Last Night?

Thank you very much. We've had plenty of customers and we're not even open yet. We closed at noon yesterday. Technically used cars, but they will be classic/vintage/collector cars. Of course, we'll be continuing the already successful gun store. We're waiting for our licensing. It...

What modern invention/innovation do you wish had *never* been developed?

That's always my theory. "If it's important, they'll leave a message."

Driving golden era cars in the modern era

Surprises me. I had a zillion receipts for things done from tune-ups, carb rebuilds, and well, I listed it all before, plus what I did myself, after I bought it. They still need the idle adjusted here and there to keep them starting and warming up easily. There is no way around the occasional...

Do You Listen to "40s on 4" on Sirius/XM?

Kind of unrelated, but my satellite radio is driving me NUTS lately. It won't come in half the time and keeps draining the battery in my car. Ready to trash the whole thing and go back to my iPod.

Driving golden era cars in the modern era

The classics are real cars, the new ones are the fake, plastic jobs. Setting the choke, pumping the gas, etc are the subtle things that people don't understand. That was the point I was making. Also, not all of us have the financial means to have our vehicles in like-new condition. For...

Driving golden era cars in the modern era

Carburetor is rebuilt, the radiator was replaced, as well as the wheel cylinders, brake lines, brake pads, all hoses, lines, plugs, wires, and just about anything shy of a rebuild. The car had sat all winter and had been on the road less than 24 hours. Anything sits, it needs the bugs worked...

"Mad Men" on AMC (US) - (Spoilers Within)

It was very hard to follow. I watched the encore presentation, too, and still was having a hard time with it.

"Mad Men" on AMC (US) - (Spoilers Within)

This episode was strange, too much filler for me. I felt the last two episodes were mostly just dragging on. The only major thing to pull from it, I thought, was that Don is derailing and is gonna crash in a hurry.

    My favorite Seinfeld bit, ever.

Driving golden era cars in the modern era

Yup. I was in the Pick 'n Save parking lot with the Squire today, and it was idling too low. Boy, do people think your car is a junker, if you pop the hood and start adjusting your idle with a screwdriver.
