Bought this last year in October when we went to Italy to visit my family.
The hat is gorgeous, new old stock from the 80's according to the owner of Cappelleria Troncarelli in Roma where I bought it. Everuthing in the hat is perfect except for a couple of water stains from my hair in the liner...
Thanks for all the kind words, guys!
Al, I think it's a whaler... Not sure. I'll check it out again, soon. I have to go again to get some stuff for my plane.
Post office at 34th St.
Then to the hobby shop to pick up a model plane.
Check out this boat, is giant!
Then next door to pick up a book at the cook books shop. Wore my VS.
Warhol, indeed. On my phone I couldn't tell. El Greco... Doesn't seem elongated enough (would you confirm with your dad? I'm very curious now! lol) Great paintings, thank you again, Alan-
Thanks for posting the portraits, Alan. I love the technique and how he achieved the portraits. Picasso, and Rembrandt come to mind on the first two. Who's the third, Velasquez?
Great paintings. Portraiture is hard to do and your dad is fantastic at them.
Alan,
Is that a reproduction (actually painted) of Leonardo's cartoon painting of Saint Gerome? (the other one looks in the style of Caravaggio's Bacchus...)
Al, David thanks for your kind words. W&Ws are amazing hats. Wait 'till it get colder to see the homburg I have from them! ;)
BTW, I'd like to see the inside of your Borsalino, David. Did you post in the Brotherhood thread? I might have missed it...
