Just reviewed all the photos again, I really think that should be it's own model. just as you spec'd it, make it a dedicated offering. It would sell out.... :)
Wow! A thread from 2012 revived! That's cool in and of itself.
Like Peacoat mentioned, go drive around some in it, gor for a hike, got the gym and lift weights in it (in Alaska no-one would look at you funny) and just generally try and spend time with it. And Aero's with FQHH are also not bad...
Great Work John - Socked that one right out of the park -- Home Run!! :)
I also really like the simplified CHP straight-zip less the belt loops, fur in the cuffs and with the chest pocket instead of the badge holder. Excellent specificaiton and looks like it should break in amazingly well...
Woah - hold the presses. You build these? That is amazing!
It this something you intend to keep doing? If so, we should talk...
Very nice pair of Engineers, I take it you have had practice....
^^ Thanks Alan - it's headed out tomorrow for a new adventure, but if for any reason that does not work out, i will glady send it your way for some adjustments. It's quite a nice jacket.
Also on another note, I am excited to see you all updateing your website. It know it's still under...
I would suggest obtaining a "RunFast" Weighted vest to wear over your new 6OZ creation to assist with break in. In fact, I suggest buying it ahead of time and weighting it to around 40 - 50 lbs so you can start preparing for wearing this jacket. I treid one of these out that a firefighter was...
I snatched up a Johnson's Leathers crosszip jacket a few weeks back off the bay, it is a neat jacket in very nice shape, however I cannot seem to find much for details on the model itself. Seems to have a 80's or ealy 90's vibe given some of the details on the back.
Nice, fairly heavy...
Well look at that, I have 6 right now (Leather jackets at least). Interestingly, 2 are up for sale, I have one eventually incoming, and 1 is shipping out to a friend today. So, only 3 will be in regular rotation at least for now.
I have 20+ textile items ranging from a denim jacket to full...
But at least we are all enjoying reading in the yellow submarine. :)
I am also a fan of good books, and finding a good old-school used bookstore is a treasure hunt for me.
Probably a Brooks or Kehoe, fairly average '70's CR. Had a similar one as this found in a vintage shop for $45 that included a very robust "vintage smell." :)
Hard to see in the photos, torso is at least 2" too short, sleeves the same. Sit in a car and the sleeves are riding up my elbows. I've tried on so many jackets, and this simply is not my fit.
