Welcome JD. Most hat bands are tacked on from the factory, either with stitching or glue ever so often around the crown. Stitching is usually used for the cloth ribbons & hot craft glue for the leather & rope style bands. Go to any western wear store that sells hats. They will have "take-off"... -

I get boxer trunks instead of boxer briefs since the legs are not as long, especially for wearing with jeans. Chinos or slacks are okay with boxer briefs but I don't care for extra length down my thighs with jeans. I prefer Hanes tagless...- gtdean48

Glad to know Dave is still there & working. He had a nice hat shop on the Roswell square before his health made him shut down. He has lots of stories about LBJ & his hats. He used to carry a good many Open Road styles by Beaver Brand & I was interested in what he was stocking now that they shutdown. -
