The awful truth:
People here are more to accept indigo-haired, black-mouthed girl with a tattoo on her forehead, than me. Her, they'll just sort of write off as "doing all that being eccentric and individual artistic thing". Me, they still ask "Who raided grandma's wardrobe?" :fish:
Indeed. :D
We could not even begin thinking about "could we survive?" if we were not accepting there'll be CHANGE:
1. Did they used to have central heating system and air-conditioning? No.
2. Was there electricity in every house? Depending on the era.. mostly: no.
3. Was there a thing like a...
I, too have to bend (some days: a lot!), mostly it's concerning music.
As much as I love lounging on the sofa and reading (while enjoying quality sounds of Big Bans.. em.. I'm in that phase), I do like to GET OUT and mingle. That's pretty much where I hit the time-wall: I'm an "early evening"...
I'll add: Don't correct the way we say things. You're calling them the wrong name, not us. :D
LizzieMaine,
I should print this and hand it around my town.
We accept people in our community.. IF they want to be accepted.
A question for all young loungers:
As keen on vintage (we all are!), how do you find night life in your area/city/country?
Are there places where you fit in (music-vise, and mentality-vise)?
..or do you have to "bend" your standards a little bit..
AND how much of "bending" is your limit???
Hm. :suspicious:
Maybe we too should take the class ('cause life isn't teaching us about *surviving* in a small community) :frusty:
I can just imagine how "useful" it may be.
Great decision! :thumb:
Super-posh lounge singers.. that would made me happy, too.
The thing is: most of days, people just stare. They find me strange.
Me?! Pardon me, 40+ year old and obesemadam?!
I'm looking strange?!
*yucky*
Nice.
By the look of it, I'd say: A front-strapper.
But, does it really matter to the one wearing it? (I may as well ad it: does the one wearing it ever know his fronts and backs?) :D
