Thanks Stefan. The Whippet is a fine piece of felt.
It still looks good. How come it has fallen out of favor? Too much heather around? Too many homburgs? Ha ha.
Thanks,
Michael
Thanks D. I think that one was one of my earliest purchases after I dieted off some excess waist material. On me, not the suit. Now that you know about this thread I hope we can see you posting some examples from your fine collection. Here and on the Sport Coat thread.
Thanks,
Michael
Thanks Red. I do rather like today's combination. I haven't tried brim down in the back too much either. I'm beginning to warm to it though. The influence of too many old movies probably.
Is it Bone Lord weather or Duplex weather today?
Thanks,
Michael
Thanks Red. It did seem to match the color pretty well with that suit. I suspect it's a pretty close match in age as well.
Thanks Harv. Saturday seems to be my day to find clothes I've forgotten about.
Thanks all,
Michael
It's not old, but this Bert Pulitzer wanted to see the town today.

Finally quite raining this morning. Don't think it's supposed to snow for a couple of days, but will be cold enough to do so. Seems like a good day to fool around in the Whippet.

That one looks like it could have been cut from the same pattern as mine. There is something unique about deerskin. Too bad it was too small, though your friend may be happy that it was. Good luck on your hunt.

The porkpie won out today. I liked the color play with the suit, and more importantly, I got out on my bicycle and stingy brim is king on the bike.
Hope you make a full recovery quickly. Great looking Esby. What a fine shape.
Hang in there Johnny, only another month or so til spring. The VS...

Should be a nice enough day here, before heading back to cold weather. I'm thinking I like this Pilgrim porkpie today.

Seems the right vibe to go with some '60s...
Nice looking hat there.
I think mine is post-Stetson, but I'm no longer sure why.

Perhaps someone more expert than me can tell from those photos.

Vintage summer wear does seem to be harder to find. Once it's much above 70 I'm too hot even in a short sleeve shirt most of the time.
I think the suit is 40s or very early 50s, but it has not tags or labels at all to help date it.
