1931 Suit to Covet - Dracula.

This is David Manners in the 1931 film Dracula. Note the roll of the jacket lapels, the wonderful double-breasted waistcoat, the perfect fit. Most interesting to me - look at the jacket length. Quite short by modern standards.

Do you wear a fedora with your leather jacket?

You know, a felt hat with a great leather jacket is about PERFECT, especially if both are a little beat up. But I don't ever combine them, because of the inevitable razzing. It's the only time I feel extremely self-conscious.

    The Misfits (1961)

I can hardly watch it. Gable was reaching and not grabbing. One of his few bad performances. The rest of the cast was great, Monroe being just barely so. That being said, it is an excellent, if not perfect example of late 50's - early 60's "Over-Methoding." A style that looked dated faster than...

    A-2 ID Help needed

It isn't technically an A2. It's in that style, but the owner is representing it correctly as a much later jacket. It could be by any number of manufacturers. It seems to have a "belted" back detail and bi-swing shoulders. A mishmash. $89 may be a little steep.
