Yep. If you hadn't bid, I was thinking of picking that one up just to handle it (which you'd really appreciate if you understood the extent to which that goes against my nature). While it might not be the most desirable hat, it's certainly one of the rarest.
How does it feel? Like wool, plastic, etc?
I'd imagine it was made around the same time as the Stetson model (right around the time of acquisition), as the "plastic felt" font looks identical.

The hat came with the two-engine DC-3, but the Stratoliner plane has four engines. Get the one you like, or get both. :)

The Satellite box goes with a different hat. As far as I know, there's no dedicated 15 or 3x box, and vintage hats often find themselves in whatever boxes happened to be around when they were last sold.
50s to early 60s is a pretty safe bet on the hat.
