Thanks Blackthorn and Oldsarge I do hope the pair of you get the chance to travel over there, Angkor Wat in Cambodia is a great place too, I would love to catch the Eastern & Oriental express from Laos to Singapore or other way around, after a few Singapore slings! at Raffles or afternoon tea in...
Nice work Spitfire and thanks Stearman, it is uncanny but I found two photos of me on an Elephant this week while moving furniture, I have posted them on the folks in action thread but your picture of a eastern tractor :-) seems quite fitting.
Inspired by Blackthorns camel adventure, I found these two pictures while moving a cupboard the other day, the one looks so old (about 20 years ago) but for a few rupees what do you expect!
Elephant ride at the Amber fort, Jaipur
Elephant ride in the jungles of Thailand. Top tip, never...
No I never had a copy as I opted for Harvest but you have just reminded me Stearman how often I used to sees this around. Ahhh Takes me back :-) ........ Also there was a painting a bull elephant around at that time too?
Hey Matt
Just to say love the photo of you with the pith helmet, great shot, just imagine it sitting inside a silver or croc skin photo frame on a campaign desk. :-). Where did you get glasses from? Would love a pair like that myself.
Went to devianart, thanks to the watermark.
Great work there Matt, can understand the watermark. Like the aircraft and the clouds give depth and a feeling of light.
Have you a link to view more of your work? Sure would like to see more.
Any of a Ju52?
I saw some 35mm film in Poundland a few weeks ago while I was after some Halloween stuff, not sure if they has 120.
You could ask these chaps

Ditto Edward,
For me it has to be SW Cornwall and Devon, follow the coast, St Ives to Lands End and around the Lizard, plenty on cliffs and crashing waves. For the SE Again the coast around Sussex and North Norfolk, rather flat landscape but sort of left in the 50's. NE the dales of Yorkshire...
Wow, they look great! I saw a family who had two of these but with a more 70's floral pattern, camping this summer, their pitch looked pretty neat, they had a VW camper van and 4 meter bell tent, too much bunting for my taste but it did look cute.
These would have suited their camp. Can you...
Well I stopped and took a photo last week while in Norfolk of the AA Brancaster Box. Kept in good condition not sure if it has a phone as I am not a member of the AA but a pleasant reminder of simpler days driving without the ease of a cell phone for breakdowns.
Cool photos Blackthorn, any of you riding the camel?
Never managed to get to Jordan for that visit, had one planned once but something came up so its is still 'on ze list'. I also regret not riding a camel to the pyramids in Cairo once, really tourist thing but hey I wish I had done just for...
That looks like my Akubra Safari now that I added a pleated pug. It came with a ribbon but I think the pug looks better, will post when I take a photo but my scouting/campaign hat is the only one I wear at present.
