Well Zeus, unfortunately the books do the same thing. They get darker as they reach the end. Even the "Half Blood Prince" is darker than this one in the books as though a Dementor is in the room while you read it. I'm rather sure that the last book won't have the joy that the first two books...
We took it in last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, there were certain things missing or changed around to suit the film format, but that is to be expected with such a plot heavy film. All in all they kept the main core of the story intact and just did away with the distractions and filler...
Might I suggest the Camptown Hats Model 1936 Fieldmaster.

Quite a nice hat at a good price.
Send Ken an e-mail and let him know you're a Lounger. He'll do you right.
Cheers!

Personally, for a man of 60ish HF looks to be in spectacular shape. He appears to be in better shape than most 30ish men I know. Just an observation.
Cheers!

You're quite welcome! If you're at all interested in a black hat in the near future, Ken will be coming out with a "Noir" Edition of the Metropolitan fairly soon. As a matter of fact it may already be out. He doesn't have it on his web site yet but if you e-mail him he should be able to tell you...
Sweet!!
Ah the 1945 "Noir" Edition sounds like a fabulous & dressy lid. Black does add an air of Mystery to ones appearance, doesen't it? I can't wait to see the images. I presume the shape will be just like the Metropolitan.:)
Cheers!

One thing I hope that they keep it the whole tongue-in-cheek campyness of the first three films. Plenty of action to be sure but tempered with the occasional funny exchange with the bad guys (like the truck scene in Raiders when the Egyptian fell on the hood of the truck and Indy & the German...
Well it looks like NewMexExpat has beat me to the punch. Yes, that is what I would suggest.

The grey Model 1945 Metropolitan could fit the bill nicely and be a better quality lid than the Federation.
Just a suggestion. Best of luck with the...

"He is what he looks like. A dungball in a dress."
My Pop & I loved watching Blackadder together. I practically grew up watching that stuff. I loved his one liners and insults of Baldrick. Classic stuff!!:)

I caught this one last night on Cinemax. I thought it was, for the lack of a better word, bizarre. The costuming was hit & miss. Some if not most of the character actors & extras seemed to fit where the main cast was out of place. The acting was lack luster with the emotional range of a pet...
Eisenheim the Illusionist by Steven Millhauser
I thought that they did a grat job turning a 15 page short story into a feature film. The short story was the framework and they built a wonderful tale from there. Very good indeed.:)
Cheers!
