Going to London - any leather jacket stores?

I second about Son of a Stag. Bought my Eastman A-2 from there.

    Pictured: Aero 50s trucker jacket

Wdw, hem's probably mid-way down the belt, depending on jeans. No, it's a 40. Exactly my usual size, including adding an inch to body length. Generally I like a slim fit and see Insurrection leaning this way with the Premium Maxwell, for example which does look rather nice…

    Back where it belongs

Gordon Bennet! Well done, Aero. I'm booking a ticket...

    Pictured: Aero 50s trucker jacket

Bit of a while since I posted here, Loungers. Picked this up secondhand from eBay a few months ago and sent it to Aero for sleeve length adjustment. Been wearing it as the days get (supposedly) warmer and have already had a few gratuitous compliments, which is always a good sign with an Aero. A...

    Visiting Aero Leathers

Agree a train there could add to the glamour. Although I've just bought secondhand and had Aero-adjusted one of their rare, suede 50s trucker jackets, I do feel an urge for an A-1 in russet Vicenza with olive knits. Still, it's a bit like a junky visiting Amsterdam or something, an Aero visit...

    Visiting Aero Leathers

Oh, yes, I didn't mention the Tesco. Like an alien mothership indeed. An excrescence. I can believe Gala might once have been attractive but does look rather sad now. They should put pilgrimage way marks on the route to Aero. And maybe you should get a badge or patch (on your jacket) when...

    Visiting Aero Leathers

I've probably bought around 15 Aeros and finally visited – I realise in retrospect – just when the Lauder affair was coming to an explosive head. Will showed me around, or rather didn't, his manner, I found to my surprise, tense and impatient. I remember a fairly strong feeling of let-down...

    Coolest ever leather – ever?

    Agree Brando pretty close!

    Coolest ever leather – ever?

Nice list, but what about Sir Jacket in his Maxwell! Thanks for the info about Bowie – had no idea. What Aero model?

    Coolest ever leather – ever?

Got to be Steve McQueen's in The Great Escape, surely? Go on, prove the question isn't rhetorical.

London tailor to alter Aero (suede) jacket?

Update: my suede trucker jacket is on its way to Aero. (On a truck, presumably, so I hope it feels at home.)

London tailor to alter Aero (suede) jacket?

Anyone know anyone suitable? Aero has an 8-week wait for alterations. Plus, there's the postage. Thanks for any suggestions

What Do They All Think Of Your Vintage?

Ha! Yes, there hasn't been much appreciation shown here for the role of horses in our sartorial pursuits.

Let's talk the Aero 1920s work coat

Jägernaut, would love to see some pics of the aged Vicenza. Very hard to get a sense of its "true colours", given the different lights people snap it under. Have asked Aero for some samples.

What Do They All Think Of Your Vintage?

Amusing is when you randomly bump into another vintage fan. Still treasure the moment when a couple came up to me on the London Tube and asked, "Is that an Aero?… Cracking jacket."

    Freewheeler's Neal Cassay Brakeman coat

Grayland, we've been discussing the very thing: http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/lets-talk-the-aero-1920s-work-coat.84612/. The Aero work coat is decidedly a trim cut, it seems. I am intrigued about the price difference and what, if anything, justifies it.

Let's talk the Aero 1920s work coat

I agree with many of these comments. I'd love the Brakeman, save for the price and because there seems to be only about one left in the world. The Canuck, similarly, but the price is just too high for me. Was thinking about a one piece back on the Aero coat but, because it is very trim, it...

Let's talk the Aero 1920s work coat

A great jacket. Anybody own one? Want one? Know of better alternatives? Fit pics welcome. I am thinking of buying one but am tempted also by the (Japanese) Freewheeler Brakeman at about twice the price.
