Pictured: Aero 50s trucker jacket

Bit of a while since I posted here, Loungers. Picked this up secondhand from eBay a few months ago and sent it to Aero for sleeve length adjustment. Been wearing it as the days get (supposedly) warmer and have already had a few gratuitous compliments, which is always a good sign with an Aero.

A rather rare beast, this one, I believe. I think Aero was making them for Levis for a while but they're no longer available new anywhere. Has a nice heavy feel to it, and the colour is very distinctive. I had my reservations about the sleeve 'fatness' near the shoulder but that is period correct, and I think this one's a keeper.

Looks good, not too tight. Where does the hem sit in relation to your belt when you stand straight?

What size is it compared to your other Aero's? I got the impression you'd need to size up one of two.

Wdw, hem's probably mid-way down the belt, depending on jeans. No, it's a 40. Exactly my usual size, including adding an inch to body length.

Generally I like a slim fit and see Insurrection leaning this way with the Premium Maxwell, for example which does look rather nice…

Looks good, but if you could make some pics so that we could see where the hem sits when you stand straight, as wdw mentioned, would be great. I have the same jacket and my hem sits just below the belt which I think is the way it should look like. The first pic is from TFL and is kinda a reference fit. Then there are a couple of mine.

I really like it. I think its the one on eBay I had my eye on but in the end decided 2 light coloured truckers was too many and I'm happy with my Gustin waxed canvas one.

Good snag though, hope you get a lot of wear out of it.

I like these type 3 jackets in fabrics other than denim. Levis used to make corduroy ones in lots of colors...I miss that
