I LOVE that commercial! Thank you guys for posting this! :D
EDIT: I remember seeing the potato salad one on Thats Entertainment, it was to illustrate how many acts were in Hollywood at the time that didn't make it.
I wonder why this one didn't?
At work yesterday this couple were talking to my co-worker about me. I went behind the counter they were at, and the guy said "Yes, we are talking about you! We saw the new Sherlock Holmes movie the other night, and you remind us of those hairstyles... You know, the late 1800's?"
I remember...
I think that exact style would look amazingly cute on you, and it doesn't look like it takes much work! :) You'd need to grow your hair down to mid-neck, which isn't much. Keep your bangs long, perhaps to the tip of your nose, and taper the front a bit. The back is usually a little longer...
I think I have a crush on you! I didn't study history in post-secondary, but in high school I won a few awards for it. Please do not apologize, I do the same thing and seldom meet people who understand. :)
Okay, I'll add you to the list... ;)
I'm awfully sorry if I frightened you Diamondback! This is a very bitter and scorned woman speaking. Don't mind me
Modern makeup can go rancid within a few months - Can you imagine what kind of bacteria or degeneration has gone on in that makeup over decades?
Safety first, gals. If you have to question it, it's probably not a good idea.
I have devised a basic set that works for almost every hairstyle I do. I do it with spongies, and it only takes me about 15 minutes. I have to look in the mirror to do the top and side sections, but the rest is easy.
It used to take me about an hour!
I draw my seams on - I've been thinking of getting them tattooed on. I have a good artist in mind, so I might do it.
If I do, I'll report back for sure!
I agree with refrigerating lipsticks. If not, storing them in a cool, dark place will help them last a while. If you keep them in your purse, in the bathroom, or in a case that sits in the sun, they will inevitably melt.
Yes, there is a science to make-up! lol
The more practice you get at setting your hair, the less time it will take you. Like everything, once you know exactly what you're doing, you can do it quickly and accurately.
Try searching for threads on sets and rollers - There are a ton of good ones out there...
Put pomade on your fingers and pull it through your curls - then, brush for a good half hour or 45 minutes. It will look super frizzy and large, but the more you brush the more you will see the deep, smooth waves forming. Its the only way!
These are good threads on fighting frizz...
At work I get a lot of ladies coming up to me and putting their hands on me. They poke my hair, tug at my blouses, and try to touch my seams. One woman nearly hauled me over the counter I was behind so she could see my make-up.
I don't mind if someone says "may I look at you...
I have a clear one of those, though it has no compartments. It opens just like a little treasure chest. I've seen cute ones like yours at Wally World - I need one because my stuff is not organized!
I think I actually got aforementioned case for my 8 or 9th birthday...
