It looks good as it is and it's probably good it hasn't been worn as much as it could've been so dirty/stained by now. When you say pony is that also considered horse hide?
Does it bleed when you dye a lining?
That's true they will give you the best information to make the best choice. They will ask you to wear clothes/pants with belt you want to wear the jacket with and retake your measurements.
The Fqhh horse should soften up depending how frequent and hard you wear it. I wore mine daily for 5...
Definitely looks like a smart choice for the premier 30s HB, if you went with a 36 Im sure it will be a more flattering fit (and maybe it will be a t-shirt only kind of jacket if that's your style) but I'm not sure how much you can layer with that especially if you live somewhere colder.
That's...
No worries, hope you get the best fit that you are wanting. Also learned through here that size tag is relative as cut of pattern differs (also to take account which leather to use and liner to go with it) so you have to go with actual measurement for a better fit.
You bet! The aero horween black cxl I had was pretty shiny/rich, It was cool to see brown come through on heavy contact areas and so easy to recondition them if you want to keep it shiny/deeper color. I'm sure your project will turn out well
Yep the horse black overdye I tried on at the store is definitely not as shiny compared to the regular black cxl trucker that was close to it. Damon did tell me he uses the left over hides and he tumbled it with baseballs so that may be part of it.
Yep, I almost requested to have them cut out the "genuine leather" part on the label which I'm sure they'll do. If it really bothers me, I'll just remove them lol
