    Pink shirts...

A real popular trend in the fifties was the 'charcol & pink' combo....on a lot of different things. I have number of c/p shirts and ties. But, heck, it even was a popular combo on the cars, too.

The lack of Pedestrian culture in America

There's one guy in this town that commutes several miles to work downtown here on his Segway (wearing about every piece of safety clothing and blinking light possible). For some reason there's a city ordinance that allows him to ride on sidewalks (and this downtown has some very narrow...

    Spectator Shoes

I have a vintage b/w pair...a Goodwill find in fairly good shape. I wear them occasionally and casually, but get plenty of comments like, 'nice golf shoes...'

The lack of Pedestrian culture in America

I haven't owned a car in over six years. I live just four blocks from my downtown job and walk everyday. I do most every errand riding my bike. My town is not bike friendly either. I've been hit three times in the past two years. Funny thing...this past Friday was Bike To Work Day. Most people I...

When Was The Last Time You...

    1. Watched Over-The-Air television? Just now. I unplugged the cable from the tv to see what it could pick up. Found only one station...and it was a pretty weak signal.

    Warm Weather/Beach Attire (Vintage)

Some of those outfits looked a bit effeminate. At first glance I thought one guy was wearing a skirt.

A Dream That Was Like A Movie

I used to write mine down, but when reading it later I'd realize that they didn't make any sense at all...no plot or anything. Just complete randomness. Very, very rarely were there anyone I knew in them. Probably the closest to telling a story was a reoccuring one back when I lived in the...

What one item would you take to Antique Roadshow?

Every time I watch it (like last night) I always think what I would bring should the show come to my area. I don't know the value of books so I'd say I'd take (found it in my attic) my first edition 'Grant and His Campaigns' copywrite 1866.

    Not it's Intended Purpose, but . . .

I use my lava lamp as a hand warmer! As a news photographer I've had to improvise by using notebook paper or napkins to put over my flash and soften the light. I've even had someone in a white shirt stand close by to give me something to bounce my light off of.

    Stumbling Upon Fabulous Movies

I viewed the French film Cache' (2005) last night. This film has the most shocking scene I've ever seen in all the zillions of film I've viewed...and I am not easily shocked. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?
