7. 1967, from England letting my parents know I had arrived safely.

9. Sunday. If resetting the weights on a cuckoo clock counts.

Opened a can of tomato juice a couple of days ago. the church key can opener is on a magnet attached to the side of the refrigerator. How about when was the last time anyone used a real (manual) can opener to open a can? (not just to make an opening like with a church key, but remove the entire lid)

6. Wrote a letter with pen and ink?

Today. I use a fountain pen every day.

7. Received or sent a telegram?

I received a telegram a long, long, long time ago, but I do not believe I ever sent one (unless wiring money via Western Union counts).

8. Figured your bank balance without a calculator?

A couple of hours ago (what's so hard about adding and subtracting?).

9. Wound a clock?

This morning. I wind my great grandfathers wall clock every day (my pocket watch, too, if that counts).

10. Took pictures using film you had to develop?

It's been a couple of months. I usually take digital, but a "real" photograph is good now and then.

3. Listened to AM radio? flip back and forth quite reg, I used to catch Sunday broadcast of local Lebanese DJs when my 14 year old daughter was younger, try to expose her a bit to something close to her heritage.

letter or note for the children, either way, I do those a lot. Leave letters on cars for people I know...

all the time, now, when was the last time I got them developed, thats a different metter....it's always a suprise of what I bring home when I take them in to get developed

6 months ago, before my boyfriend started his diet! We went to some ghetto in LA to stock up on pupusas since they aren't really Nutrisystem approved. They only sell bottled soda there.

Goodness, I used to do this all the time. It's been a long time now, probably over a year.

Never.

Well, I never really figure out my bank balance anyway, I rely on the ATM to tell me that. I'm lazy. But I could do it if I had to!

A couple of years ago.

A couple of months ago. Pretty terrible for an art major who specializes in photography, huh?

I have tons in my bedroom at home, would use them all the time in high school, but didn't bring any with me to college. So maybe 2 years? No, actually, we have one we use at work occasionally! So 6 months, I would say.

Maybe we should amend #3 to say "Listened to music on AM radio" as that band is almost exclusively news, talk and sports nowadays.

My parents received a telegram informing them that the rental house they owned burned down. That was in 1964, and I don't recall if anyone in our immediate family sent or received one since.

I have a rotary phone (a 1938 Western Electric 302) on my desk right now, but up until 2005 I hadn't used one in about fifteen years.

It's funny, I had a cordless phone and one day it dawned on me that it would be useless during a power failure. I did a search on eBay for an inexpensive corded phone and the world of old phones was opened to me. I went a little nuts and now I have several 302s, a couple of 202s, several WE 500s, a couple of AE80s and one AE40 with a dial card from Hawaiian Telephone.

I tried some Moxie and some Cheerwine several months ago in glass bottles. I enjoyed them but I really try to stay away from all that sugar.
