I guess I'd call this one 'bizarrely' ugly. I've had it for years yet I have no idea what's going on with it. The label says 'J. Galet' All Silk, Beverly Hills. Any ideas?

There's a historic theater a few blocks from my home. Along with live performances there's a nice variety of classic films. Coming up are Citizen Kane, White Christmas, Fantasia, Seven Samurai and.....Fast Times at Ridgemont High.lol
Late last night I started watching 'The New World' (2005) a fictionalized story about Capt. John Smith and Pocahontas at Jamestown in 1607. I fell asleep half-way into it...only because I was tired. I'm definitely going to watch it again. The director is Terrence Malick (remember 'Badlands?').
I found this book in the attic of a house I was raised in. It was published just barely after the Civil War ended.

Last night I watched 'Stranger Than Fiction' (2006) staring Will Farrell and Emma Thompson. What a treat! Like Adam Sandler in 'Punch Drunk Love' and Jim Carrey in 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,' Will Farrell sort of breaks the mold of being a comedy actor. Still, it has its funny...
De Palma's 'The Black Dahlia' premiered on HBO last night. I'd been looking forward to viewing it...especially since it's a 'De Palma.' To tell you the truth I was disappointed. I think it OD'd on noir.
Good deal! I have a Kodak equivalent and have watched only one film on it...someone's 1950s vacation movie. I'd be afraid to watch any kind of feature movie for fear of burning a hole in it. I can't believe bulbs for it would cost so much.
