Comments You Get When You Dress Vintage

I used to be shy about them too, but now I love them, because they create a presence. Shoes can't have all the glory! OT: I call it Wally World too lol

Do Ladies notice a Man's shoes?

OT: I still get a kick out of the Weekly Pick-up Line :D

    Your favorite movie quotes

I said this to someone today: "You were good kid, real good. But as long as I'm around you'll always be second best, see?" lol From The Mask (1994)

Does vintage clothing attract a rude/violent response?

I went to see a Shakespeare in the Park production of A Winter's Tale last night, wearing a plain black shirt and burgundy circle skirt (no crinoline) and flats. While I grabbed a chocolate bar before the play, I heard this girl say to her boyfriend "some people have to have all the attention,"...

Do Ladies notice a Man's shoes?

Askmen.com has some pretty awful info too (and not just about style.) I just discovered they've got a Style Icon page, including Rock Hudson, James Dean, and Nat King Cole. All three of these men they say are "minimalist and clean cut," which is true compared to Tinie Tempah...

    Socks

I only ever wear socks with flat shoes, and they're always ankle high, with polka dots or stripes or Betty Boop on them lol Your pants should be long enough that no one sees them anyway!

    Talks of "Christine" remake

OT: Hah! Is the Juke scaring everyone else too? They're so new that I haven't seen many yet, but they're so freaky they make me want to run screaming. Imagine that chasing you into a brick wall enclosure...

    Cute Vintage-y Shoes

Probably, though specific to the type of clothing. Try searching for reproduction, or whatever you are interested in: swimwear, circle skirts, wrap dresses, etc...

Does wearing vintage Get you noticed by the opposite sex?

Reminds me of what Shirley Maclaine said in The Apartment: "He's a taker. Some people take, others get took."

Should TCM Air More Foreign Films?

I voted no - Not because I don't like or appreciate foreign films, but because I love TCM for its focus on Hollywood. Hollywood films are a very distinct style, besides the fact they are infamous worldwide.

What is your favorite red lipstick brand/shade?

I'm putting it on as I type this! It's lovely, not sticky at all :) Do you find their lipsticks have a distinct smell, almost like a crayon? It's not as harsh as other drugstore brands, but its somethin'.

What is your favorite red lipstick brand/shade?

If you get a balm that tingles and has a red colour to it, that might solve your problem. My favourite is Philosophy's Peppermint Bark, it smells to heaven and feels so nice on your lips :)

Does vintage clothing attract a rude/violent response?

It's like kissing Bob Barker... We all like him, but there are limits. (PS. Thanks :D) That is totally depressing actually. It's probably something like Niagara Falls. People I know who haven't been there get so excited to see it, and while the Falls are impressive, it's really just a...

    Talks of "Christine" remake

PT Losers are fluffy kittens compared to these: They didn't list that on IMDb! Good info :)

Do Ladies notice a Man's shoes?

You British people are all crazy, with your "butties" and "tossers" and "rollicking" (I'm part of the Commonwealth, I can say it! lol) I'm not a fan of the extended toe-box either, it smacks of pretentiousness.

Does vintage clothing attract a rude/violent response?

ME TOO! Its real, now shove off! Most people will stop if you discreetly back away, but some either don't notice or don't care, at which point I tell them "please don't touch me..." That is gentlemanly. I find most young men today will make fools of themselves: Standing up for your girl...
