    Atticus: You're dead right. You can't swing a cat without hitting a guy in an A2 these days. Your A1 is one of the best garments I've ever seen posted here. Much more flattering than the average A2, which tends to make anyone who isn't rail thin look paunchy.

    Thanks, Marc. I would certainly have hung onto it had I guessed the outcome. THE finest hat I've ever owned. Large size, desirable brand, unusual color and finish, unusual ribbon, great vintage hat. Mildly stained and would clean well. Live and learn. Time to start using reserves.

    Those are 1920's creases. I like to take a soft hat and show the decades by changing the way a hat is creased. If you look at FDR's "Campaign Hat," it is a battered 1920's job.
