For those that love a tall crown...
Alright folks here is my review of #003. Holy smokes!! This is one fine hat. Soft right out of the box. Not only to the touch put in pliability. Shapes great this way and it still holds the shape put in without any steam. It is decidedly darker than...
I grew up with that one. for years it was on in the mornings before school, so I would have the theme music in my head for the first part of the day. It was always enjoyable.
Then years later seeing Stalag 17 & The Great Escape I finally understood their inspirations.
Cheers!

He may have been that... But still a wormy little creep. He did a fantastic job of it too. Paul is one of my favorites because he is so versatile.
The one I watched tonight, and haven't seen in an age was Dune (1984). I liked the style of the film although it was the Reader's Digest version...
An Irish Blessing...
May there always be work for your hands to do.
May your purse always hold a coin or two.
May the sun always shine on your windowpane.
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
May God fill your heart with gladness to...
Art, this is good news indeed. I quit back about 10 years ago when I was scared out of my wits when my mom was diagnosed with... well you know. I threw the remainder of my pack of Camel Wides away and did it cold turkey. I was a bear to live with for about a week but I haven had an urge since...
Patience rewarded...
Huzzah! Got of the phone with Ken a little while ago. He was shaping my lid as we spoke and was going to put it in the box to go out today! :D It has been a week of good news. I can't wait to get my mitts on this new lid. It should arrive just in time for my latest...
Caught that one this last weekend as well. Thought the blood effects were a lot like Frank Miller's 300, sort of 2D. Lots of over the top adult fun. Love the dive out of the plane. Paul Giamatti did a fantastic job of the slimy character as well. Tough guy huh? lol

Thank you very much. This is very helpful information. Always like learning something new each day. :) This one should be made a sticky for sure.

It was a load of fun! In each beer tent every few minutes the would do the vocal equivalent of the wave. Most were dressed like they just woke up but there were a handful of us that were actually dressed well, and only a couple of them wearing hats. :) It's a start though.
Cheers!

For those do-it-yourselfer's I think this book will be of positive interest to you.
Scientific Hat Finishing and Renovating
by Henry Ermatinger, Hatter. c.1919
It is a spiral bound reproduction book that can be had on ebay for around $12 to $14. It is chock full of useful information...
Portland, OR. Brewer's Festival...
The previous weekend we were up in Portland, OR. and decided to hit the Brewer's Festival. One of the lady pourers there commented that I was a tad over dressed, but really appreciated a well dressed man no matter what the occasion. I told her thank you and...
You should be able to find transits in Quads fairly easily on e-bay. I've seen plenty of the old original pocket transits that are in Quads quite a bit on e-bay as well. Only problem is that when they come up there are some rich surveyors out there that seem to snatch them up at a hefty price...
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. That should be rather creepy as well. It looks like they show a brief glimpse of that with Dumbledore surrounded by fire on the small island therein.
Me thinks I'm going to have to read the book again as a refresher.
Cheers!

2000+ & counting!
Thank you JM! Yeah, is seems like if it is in the realm of just an entertaining film with out the super thought provoking moments & characters, it isn't worth the effort. Sometimes the simple pleasures are the best. And of course simple tends to confuse them.
Cheers!
