One of the very first fedoras that I purchased was a Beaver Brand in a little shop in Virginia City, Nevada. It's built similar to many of my vintage lids that I now have but I don't think as durable as the vintage. Still it is a nice looking hat that is very wearable even in the snow as that is...
Sweet looking hat. Makes me want to start making my own hats eventually. I think I will need more room in my garage before I could ever start that process.;)
Great job on the lid Stoney!:eusa_clap A classic hat from a classic film.
Cheers!

Great video! This is the same video that is on the official Indiana Jones site though. It's been out for a few months now.
Thanks for sharing though, it is a fantastic looking set though. I sure would love to decorate a portion of my own home to look like that. All the little statues (replica...
More exciting news...
Here's some other exciting news. Ken will be coming out with a new hat called the "1957 Legend". It is basically a coming together between Camptown Hats & Adventurebilt Hats. Ken has received permission to use one of Steves blocks that enspired the Crystal Skull fedora. So...
Camptown "Legend"
Well here is some fantastic news for all of us Indy Nutters to be sure!
Ken over at Camptown Hats has worked out a deal with the fine gentleman over at Adventurebilt Hats (namely Steve Delk) to have permission to use one of their blocks that inspired the Kingdom of the...
Congratulations 79! Welcome to the Camptown Races!;)
You're going to love what you get from Ken, I can bet on it.
Please be sure to post pics once you get your purchase. Can't wait to see it.
Cheers!

I was just reading up recently on cleaning stains in a copy of Scientific Hat Making I just got & one of the cleaning methods is a 5% solution of Hydrogen Peroxide dabbed into the stain. Then thoroughly rinsed with clean water. If you haven't tried the naptha method yet you might give that a...
Congreatulations Alex! You won't be sorry. I just wore mine about two weeks ago to Disneyland when the weather got a little warmer and it worked fine. The vented sweatband worked like a charm allowing the breeze up through the lid.
Well, I can't wait to see what Ken comes up with for you...
My Adam Premier is one of my first vintage lids I found on OFAS for $9. I'd have to say it is one of the nicest hats that I own with a unique ribbon treatment. It a very enjoyable hat to wear & soft to boot.
Cheers!

Yep, is sounds like you're a long oval. One of my early hats did exactly what you're talking about until I had it re-blocked. But the advice given above by Scot & Stoney is sound and does work. If the brim warpage continues, you might, & i mean might, have to get it re-blocked into a long oval...
Hey, good to hear from you Ken!:)
Yeah, like Ken said, be sure to ask plenty of questions of the folks here that own particular hats like the Akubra, Camptown, AB or JPD. They'll be sure to tell you the merits of the hats they own and if they own a good cross section of hats, they can...
Lex: I can say from experience that you won't be sorry with a FieldMaster. I've had mine for about 2 1/2 years now, & other than a little sun fading on the ribbon, that lid has worn like iron (without the rust). They start out a tad stiff out of the box, but with a little handling, shaping &...
