    Barr fedora- sent it back

LMH2 has a great point about wool felts. They shrink over time and they don't hold up very well to the elements. I owned a Bailey "Gangster". I loved it up until it started getting out of shape. Once I bought my first true fur felt hat, I never went back. Personally, I would get your money...

It IS nice. Still toying with the look, but I definitely want to re-block to 5 3/4" H. The brim is 2 3/4", which is tempting to keep, since I don't have anything that wide.

Beaver Brand OR-style I picked this up from ebay a few weeks ago. I already posted a pic from the original listing, but here are some more shots before I send it off for some modifications. It's a 7 1/4, but it clearly fits like a 7 3/8, if not larger. Waaaaaay to big for me, even with...

    The Dobbs Diner...

Dobbs TWENTY - Black 7 1/4 This is my first black fedora. The color black didn't really appeal to me for a hat, because it seemed like such an easy color to wear. That said, I didn't think it would complement my wardrobe like my grey, brown, and blue hats do. My idea of a dark hat was blue...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Dubya - Great combination! I like the bow-tie, and the Akubra really stands out. David - Nice VS for BF! Eric - The perfect hats for snow! Art has a very fine finish on those dove felts. Jeff - Your Resistol is similar to a brown Stetson that I have. I just can't get a good crease...

Camera lenses and angles can also be deceiving. Many times in photos, a brim looks wider than it is. And sometimes, it can look smaller. Depends on the angle and distance. It's a great idea, though. I've often wanted to see hats with very particular dimensions. Great request!

The width is 2 3/8", same as my grey FIFTEEN. The felt is thicker than my 15. Didn't think I would appreciate a black fedora, but I love it!

'Preciate it! Most of my brims are ironed pretty flat. I wanted to change it up a little. And the suit belonged to to my wife's grandfather.

Thanks! The pics kinda look blue (I wish). But it is jet black. I always thought a black fedora would be too common, but this Dobbs is in a class by itself! :D

Dobbs TWENTY Tried posting this the other day, but the pics just didn't come out well. It's hard to photograph a black hat! Maybe I'm using the wrong back drop. Anyhoo, I picked this up from ebay. Dobbs TWENTY. I was the only bidder! The felt is amazing...
