Yea I totally understand that they’re meant to be shorter, but being that im 6’4” and the back measures about 24.5” long, I think it’s too short even for that look.
Hi fellas,
Just bought an Aero repro irvin on ebay for about $300 (which I feel was a steal!). It fits me beautifully in the chest and arms, but just as I imagined it's too short in the length and hits me at about my belt buckle. Anyone know if there's a way to lengthen these jackets?
Seriously?! That blows! I've got a pair of Georgetown II's that I wanted to get refinished and I figured they would know how to do it the correct way. Funny, I was just in the Oak Brook location about a week ago and yea, I agree that it appears that they're trying to gear their focus on more...
I found one on ebay in my size. I'm not sure if it's goatskin or horsehide. Any ideas, guys? Is this a pretty solid buy? I have a cooper a2 and it's a super awkward fit. Very short and very big in the shoulders. Measurements on this one are pretty much spot on...
Theres one on ebay right now in my size, but the seller is unsure whether it's goatskin or horsehide. Did W/G ever make goat in the a2? Also, is this a pretty solid find or similar to a cooper or equivalent...
Hi, wanted to get in touch regarding that a2 jacket you're selling! I know you're asking 500, but I was thinking closer to 370. Seems to be kind of what they go for plus the ripped knit would need replacing. Thoughts? If it's easier/cheaper for you to avoid paypal, let me know.
Justin
Would you consider an offer on this? It's pretty nice looking and seems like it would fit me perfectly. Shoulders seem an inch smaller than a usual size 40 though. Guessing it's pretty snug?
I just bought a WWII Pierce RAF wristwatch at an estate sale for $50. They had no idea what it was and I did, so I walked away with a bargain! Can't wait for the weather to dip so I can wear it with my Irvin jacket!!
US Authentic is garbage! The jacket was ill fitting and the customer service is horrid! Shaul originally suggested I try a 42L, but I felt safer going with a 40L which is what I normally fit into. Even the 40L was blousy and awkward fitting, so I returned it. Three weeks have gone by and I...
Meh, I learned my lesson. it should gave been a dead giveaway when my 40L was big and his initial suggestion for me was a 42L. Not sure he really knows his trade or his people skills. yea, it's Aero or Eastman from now on for sure!
Never will I suggest anyone goes through US Authentic for a professional experience ! My return has taken over three weeks to process and still hasn't been refunded in full. When I inquired about the funds, I was told "it was done 2 days ago. Stop the bull". No return receipt was ever sent, so...
I've been looking at the Aero Redskin B3 and was wondering if it really is as "red" as it looks online or is it more of a russet? I already have an Aviation Leathercraft Irvin which I adore and I guess I don't really NEED a B3, but it looks so darn pretty! Anyone know if it's comparable in warmth?
$17!? That's awesome. Good for you. Is it your size too or did you just buy it because it was a steal? Are you finding the same thing I am with it running a little short in the torso and big in the shoulders?
I'm a little thrown off by the sizing. I got my horsehide a2 in yesterday and it's pretty blousy. I typically wear a 40L in mostly everything and that's what I ordered (Shaul agreed based on my measurements). However, there's a lot of extra leather in the back and under the pits which makes...
I just got my us authentic horsehide in the mail today and I'm kind of amazed at how blousy it is! Seems like there's tons of extra fabric where there doesn't need to be. I'm actually happier with my $70 goatskin cooper.
Wow! So, the jacket came in and it's not even close to fitting like a 40L. The shoulders measure about 23" and makes it look like I'm wearing shoulder pads. Also the length is super short measuring at about 25". I think I learned my lesson and I'm going to try and find a US Authentic to make...
