Thanks sir. The fabric is a medium weight herringbone wool made by Fox Brothers. A lovely fabric as it holds shape well while not being heavy. The wool was designed for fancy-dancy suits. It does indeed drape well, maintains shape (with proper cap design and lining) and is sharp (IMO).

Thanks. I do have a fondness for Stratoliners and your showcased hat is an excellent example.
Thanks sir. The shorter brim and taller crown really make the ribbon treatment pop to the eye.
Cheers to all, Eric -
Jack terrific wisdom passed from others. I would like to add a few more to the "pot."
(1) Liner and fabric weight. If you desire to have the cap hold shape the liner makes a big difference. The liner is between the outside fabric and the "silk" liner. Some of my fav caps have height. I...

Joe; My hosting the pics is for my peace of mind. Early on I found some of pics uploaded to the lounge's server shared around the web. It is not a perfect solution, but I believe in helping keep honest people honest. Nefarious are nefarious. I am warned often by my family, who work in law...
Oh man, that is terrible news. I use a file/pic sharing service, SmugMug. They have been secure and reliable for well over a decade. Gary if you believe it is a problem on my end please yell. I can contact the service for assistance.
I checked the file sharing gallery and folder settings...
Terrific hat and it wears well in your backyard. Your hat showcases the USNPS "trademark crease." I am going to use the pic of your hat to change the crease in my relative of your USNPS hat. My brim and crease require restorative effort.

Last evening's 2.4 " (6cm's) of rain has this morning very humid and it is starting to get hot (high's today nearing 88'f (31'c)). I have consumed a couple glasses of cold brew and a Founders Mortal Bloom IPA before 9:30 am. Granted it is my normal to enjoy a beer when working the grill, but...

My morning soiree was taken under a Gannon with gills.
