    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

They are great sweaters. I have had one for many years and love wearing it. I hope you're feeling better now. Can we 'convert' you to Woolly Pullies as well?

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

Interestingly, when I spoke of Rambler types I didn't mean the bearded, pipe-smoking rambler in woollies and plus fours. I rather identify with him, even though I'm in my 40s, and I am pleased to see wool - and for that matter - tweed making a comeback among the walking fraternity. The type of...

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

I have never in my life possessed either a fleece or a hoodie and I am likely to keep it that way. Fleeces I particularly dislike as I associate them with 'rambler' types - I am a long-distance hiker and I wear wool as a middle layer because it breathes so well, whereas synthetic fleece...

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

... And I am in my Maroon crew neck right now! I have just ordered a new Peat Brown WP from Outdoor Knitwear, a crew neck with epaulettes and pen pocket. May I ask the names of these shops in Camberley and Kew? Despite living in S-W London, I have never actually been to Camberley except to...

Congratulations. I am sure you will not regret that purchase and will enjoy wearing the olive drab. However I should warn you that Woolly Pullies are quite addictive and so other colours might soon enter your wardrobe.

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

I'm glad you're pleased with them and that I helped encourage you to make the purchase. The weather here has been dry and cold (although not cold by Upstate New York standards). I have to admit that I like thrive in these conditions. As for the woolly pullies, I have been wearing them under...

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

Excellent weather for woolly pullies at the moment - I have been wearing them every day.

    Autumnal Thoughts........

Clear blue sky. Frosty. Crisp wind. Hot chocolate and croissant mid-morning.

I wish you well with the Woolly (or Wolly) Pullies? Are these the first ones you've had?

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

I would like a real blast of cold weather here, as we have had a few times in recent years, but not such a heavy storm that it causes real inconvenience. We've had some nice frosty weather recently and I hope for some more soon and at least we've lost the damp, mild weather that was both boring...

    Fishermen's sweaters site

I can't agree that it's so bad. In S-W London we had some beautiful frosty nights and crisp, bright mornings of a kind I have been looking forward to all autumn. Yes, it's raining a bit now, but at least it isn't that unseasonably mild, muggy weather we had earlier this month. I prefer...

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

Hi Harp, I most certainly did and I wrote and thanked you at the time. It was a great honour (or honor in US) to receive it. It's great to be breaking out the winter sweater gear, Woolly Pullies included! Thanks once again.

I agree with you wholeheartedly on that.

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

Re the black Woolly Pullies: I believe that the US Army wear them. It's a good colour and part of my collection!

He's on this site and so he might read this. But I shall ask him anyway soon.

    What sweaters are you wearing?

It's great to be able to wear a nice Woolly Pully again.

    What sweaters are you wearing?

Woolly Pullies every day for the past week: Army, Navy, Peat Brown - probably Air Force blue tomorrow. It's the time of year when the military sweaters come out with a vengeance.

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

Although I usually wear Woolly Pullies with patches, I very much like the patchless Navy WP I bought in OKW's recent sale. These sweaters are quite close to the prototype Woolly Pully in WWII and just after. They sell well abroad, especially in Japan, but have only just gone onto the UK...

May I ask which colour WP you ordered?

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

It's an interesting colour but doesn't match other things very well. Can be worn with jeans but not so much with 'country' clothing or outdoor gear.
