Hey just saw this old thread and wanted to piggyback off of it if I can by asking a similar question; how does mouton age? Obviously I have seen really old jackets with fur loss, etc. I guess I’m trying to figure out how to keep mine from staying plush and soft vs eventually becoming wire like...
Eeks that’s kinda scary because I’m 185, but I’m also taller at 6’4”. I can usually take a 40L in mostly everything unless it’s a slimmer cut in which case a 42L fits okay. Fortunately the one I’m looking at has extra sleeve and body length, but now I’m unsure about the 42 haha
yea the bi-swing back has a lot to do with the mobility. I don’t think I would ever risk getting an a2 with a 17.5 shoulder to shoulder measurement.
If you’re looking for a sweet g1 though, I would totally recommend this one; only complaint is that the sleeves run a little longer than they should.
Very helpful pics!! I’m looking at a 42 bronco right now and it also has the mint green stitching which looks great in pics but also looks a little more khaki colored. Does it look different in person?
I usually wear a 40, so would you recommend sizing up to a 42 with the aero bronco?
Hi,
great looking jacket. I’m looking at an aero a2 on Thurston Bros right now and just as a reference, is this the seal brown or the dark seal? Looks darker than just the normal seal vicenza. Also, would you recommend Thurston Bros?
I would love to get your jacket but I think it’s a bit too...
Gosh hahahaha I wish I had a better answer for you. Honestly I was worried about the shoulder measurement when I ordered it also but it works perfectly. What jackets/sizes do you have currently which fit well?
Yea they’re close to tunneling but I’ve literally been wearing it around my apartment nonstop since I got it and they haven’t gone “full tunnel” (haha did I just invent a term?). The research I did on Cockpit proves true that the arms measure 1-2” longer than the back measurement which is weird...
Hi fellas,
Just stumbled upon this thread and bought a cockpit USA mil spec g1 in size 40L which just came in yesterday. I was so amazed at how well it’s made and how it fits me like a glove and feels like a second skin. Goatskin and mouton collar are very comfortable, sleeves are trim not...
Okay, this beast just arrived and I honestly love it! Fits like a second skin. The mouton collar is so soft and the goatskin is super comfy! 40L was built for me!! I’ll send pics in a bit. I’ve had Eastman M-422A jackets which didn’t fit or feel this good! Only complaint I have is the front end...
