The general decline in standards today

I had a strange experience with this, and I still don't know what to think. Maybe I can get some thoughts. I went to my local Tim Hortons one night with my aunt. This one had an ice cream service. There was one person in the coffee line, and no one but my aunt and I in the ice cream line...

We could use a chat room on this forum, what do ya say????

There isn't a whole lot of difference, only with Office Communicator, you can only communicate with one person at a time, and in some programs, invite one or two more people into a conversation. With a chat room, its the same as a physical room - Anyone can walk in. There could be 50 people...

    Happy Drunk/Mean Drunk

Our beer is stronger than your weak American stuff ;) Seriously though, hard liquor was the drink of choice, often mixed with pitchers of beer. That's where the danger is - Never mix, never worry! I play a lot of snooker, and I've never gotten close to real anger!

    Happy Drunk/Mean Drunk

I had the exact opposite experience in college, where we had a campus pub. These guys fought over foosball, snooker, tables, cigarettes... You name it. I spent a moderate amount of time in the pub, but I knew to beat it once I heard some soused guy yell "ARE YOU &*%$#@& LOOKING AT ME?!" Else...

    Show us your hair do's....

I tried the rods, and yes, it was bad... The only method I've found thus far that hasn't dented my bangs is pin curling (or a variation of.) If I put my top hair into one big roll at night, the next morning it comes out looking nice. It isn't always uniform, but I figure if I keep at it, it...

We could use a chat room on this forum, what do ya say????

Why is it that people so commonly want to compare a private establishment to a government? Don't fall prey to this misinterpretation. The FL, like any club or restaurant you would walk into, is owned by one person. He makes the rules, and assigns his staff to oversee the place. People who...

    Past the Golden Age: 1960-70

Excepting the romantic comedies of the early 1960's, The Sting (1973), Cat Ballou (1965), The Fortune (1975), Bonnie and Clyde (1967) and Chinatown (1974) are all great, but were set in past eras.
