That's an awesome phone, and would make a great addition to any collection.
In regards to phone repair, I haven't done too much. However, I have replaced the phone cord from the handset to the phone base on a vintage desktop phone I have. That wasn't too difficult. There's a vintage phone...
I actually just interviewed for a job. I graduated from college with my Bachelor's in Criminology this past December, and interviewed with a private investigations agency specializing in insurance fraud. I opted against wearing a hat.
That's mainly because I know the stereotypical trademark...
I wish there was something like that too. The closest I've gotten is a bluetooth handset shaped like an old telephone handset, which I then sit on an old rotary base (non working), and take calls on the bluetooth handset from my cell phone, which uses a ringtone like an old fashioned telephone...
Actually, it is interesting that Feraud and 4and1 bring up the ideas of wearing a hat to an interview.
I had a professional job interview just last week, and considering the nature of the job (a private investigations company focusing on insurance fraud), I decided not to wear a hat. Mainly...
Welcome to the Lounge Guinness! The Stylemaster is a nice hat for the money. I got one in steel gray a few months ago and I find it to be a nice quality mass produced hat that can be worn with both dressier attire and more casual attire.
I shouldn't say "I can't use it", I can. Personally, I seldom make phone calls, and due to being away at college for four years, anyone who has called me has needed to call me on my cell phone. The land line is mainly for my parents, so I seldom get calls on it.
In regards to the future...
I hope to continue to use a land line, but sometimes I start to wonder whether or not it will be too expensive to have bills for both a land line and a cell phone plan. Seems like a good way to cut costs would be to stay with one, and while I do have gripes about cell phones, they are more...
Viperman, that's one heck of a collection! I'd say each of those hats is pretty much cream of the crop. I especially like the black Disney and the VS "Southtown".
Buler, that hat looks great! Glad to see you joined the club. Just so you know, there is no stopping now! You blame us for the first hat...imagine how you'll feel about us by the fifth hat. lol
I believe that you were completely justified in your actions. The hat is obviously defective from the photo. The excuse that the hat was discontinued and and sale to go right into the box just doesn't cut it.
Sorry to hear the experience wasn't positive.
I wish you luck, Johnny! Take all the time that you need and get through that which currently requires your attention. Us Loungers will still be here when your time is more free.
