    1960's Makeup and Hair

I also love the 60's Gidget beach bunny look! Sandra Dee is my favorite Gidget, but that was 1959.

    Lipstick that stinks!

This is driving me nutty! I had to return an Estee Lauder lipstick because it was so heavily perfumed that it made my nose burn! And now I am wearing a Mac lipstick which has an added vanilla scent and it's also starting to make my nose twitch! I wear mostly Clinique which is fragrance-free...

True or False: Red Lipstick Ages Women Over 40?

Oh Lizzie, thank you, good advice and I LOVE the accidental selling of senior tickets. lol

True or False: Red Lipstick Ages Women Over 40?

I will never do the nude lip look! There are many other shades to work with. :) I don't think my lips have changed. I don't think it's a pigmentation thing for me, and I don't have any older red-lipstick wearing women in mind that I am afraid of resembling.

True or False: Red Lipstick Ages Women Over 40?

I want to add a note about what I mean by "aging." I started the wrinkles thread stating that I don't see anything wrong with wrinkles, and also in the gray hair thread I said I am not dying mine. I do not see anything wrong with looking one's actual age! BUT the reason why I don't dye my...

And they "tweet" about it, too. I only know because I saw it from the people I am following. It does give you that creepy feeling!

    1960's Makeup and Hair

I know there is a Mad Men look thread or two but that is just a small segment of an entire decade. I'd like to have a thread devoted to the 60's looks starting from the soft, early 60's spanning to the dramatic, shimmering later part of the decade. I'd love to see your own makeup tips, pics and...

    Mascara on upper lashes only?

I have started applying mascara to my lower lashes because I am suddenly and passionately into the 60's look but a softer, toned down non-Twiggy effect. I have also, for the first time in over a decade, traded my red/brown lipstick for a light, almost shimmering neutral/pink. I hate to say it...

    The "Annoying Phrase" Thread

But this thread isn't about how we can be more choosy in what we say when we apologize and wear for that occasion, but rather is more about tearing apart the perceived shortcomings of others. I think the premise is petty. [huh]

    The "Annoying Phrase" Thread

So in summary, some people here get perturbed if "sorry" is used incorrectly or one doesn't cry enough when it's uttered from the ground with knees bent, begging for forgiveness. Others get upset if "undeserving" classes of people take on the manners of old money in an alleged attempt to pose a...

    The "Annoying Phrase" Thread

In the eyes of their U peers, maybe, but to The One watching above, they probably can't truly afford it, lest they don't care to rise to that station. ;)
