    THE MALLORY MILE

Ha! Well, if the hat doesn't suit me or if the multiple ORs and OR clones that I have prove to be too many hats for one man, you will be the first guy I talk to about the hat! It just was delivered today so I have not even tried it on.

    THE MALLORY MILE

I agree. A few spots and stains don't bother me for the most part. If a hat is pristine, then I hesitate to wear it out of fear that I will dirty it up! That's just my OCD manifesting itself a bit.

    THE MALLORY MILE

Ah, I was wondering if this was pre or post-Stetson merger. The only Mallory listed in "The Other Open Roads" thread is the Mallory Dallas. Is the Mallory Dallas model pre-Stetson? Thanks Harv!

    The Other Open Roads.....

Anyone have any ideas what this is besides just a Mallory Ten? It appears to be an OR clone. I just got it off eBay for minimum bid. It was originally sold at a hat shop in Moose Jaw, Sask., Canada. Pretty nice hat and in very good shape for its likely age. I really like the ribbon.

    THE MALLORY MILE

It is not a bad hat, especially for the price! I got it on eBay from a seller in Canada. I paid as much for shipping as I did for the hat! It does have a stain on the left edge of the brim and a smudge on the top of the crown, but I don't think it is worth sending to the hatter for a cleaning...

    THE MALLORY MILE

I just got this hat out of the shipping box and really don't know what it is other than a Mallory Ten and it appears to be an open road clone. Anybody have any insight on this hat? Felt is nice and very soft. Sweat and liner are in great shape.

Open Crown Stetsons: A Call (Plea) to Retailers!!

I got home late so I've just had a little while to inspect it. Like yours, the felt on the brim of my hat is much thinner than the crown. I tried to dry crease it like I did with my Cornhill, but had almost no luck. Too much stiffener in the crown, so spidering is an issue. Also, the sizing...

Even with the flaws it is a sharp hat and looks good on you. Mine is due to arrive tomorrow so I will be interested to see if mine has any of the issues you are experiencing with your hat.

    FS: Modern Stetson Stratoliner prototype/sample 7 1/8

Up for sale is this new size 7 1/8 modern Stetson Stratoliner dark blue/tan ribbon and bound edge. It is a factory prototype/sample that I recently purchased at the Hatco outlet store in Garland. It is not the standard teardrop crease found in the other modern Stratoliners, but instead has a...
