wow, that's crazy. I bought a midnight blue CXL racer from classifieds because I liked other examples of how it faded to brown eventually. The blue/brown combo played with each other really nice. But this black/brown seems bonkers.
Careful on the Indian Ranger. The build is quite unique...
I'm getting the black teacore with brass hardware and a copper color lining. Can't wait.
I guess what I'm confused about is you added 5 inches to your waist body measurement in the jacket size. I'm adding 1 inch. And for the hip/bottom hem, I'm adding like .75 inch and you added 3.5?
Your...
hmmm, surprised by some of these numbers.
Greg is working on something for me now. Hopefully I'll have it before Christmas. Same cafe racer:
For me:
Chest 42 (relaxed) 43.25 (expanded) is translating to 22.625 or 45.25 so + 2-3 inches depending on expnded or relaxed
Mid Waist (one side)...
I was real close. Started a thread about it couple weeks ago. Glad I didn't though. THink it would be too short and the cut on it is extremely tapered. Goes from 23.5 ptp to 18 bottom hem. I kind of got a Vshape going, but if it wasn't even going to hit my belt, I think I would have looked...
Couple different looks today-- am and pm :)
aero midnight blue cafe racer along with an Akubra Bushman while I'm trying to run into a Kardashian in Calabasas:
and this bad boy. Finally got done washing it and reconditioning (3 coats of coconut oil, smells like a pina colada instead of 50...
I had a Schott cafe (P571, check it out for photos) that was unlined, so basically the underside of the leather. Dont know the true definition of suede, but it felt like suede. It's tricky with the sleeve, getting it on and all that, but I liked it. After 10 wears or so, the grain settles and...
I was looking at that LW listing yesterday. There's like 3 or 4 different listings using the same pics at different price points. I'd be careful on that one. I usually ask them to send me a pic of something they didn't show, i.e. send me a pic showing the shoulder measurement or whatever...
No name cross zip for about the price of a steak dinner. Too small for me, but this looks real nice.

I'm tempted to buy this, hang it in a frame and just stare at it all day:

Almost all sizes sold out. I guess there's people buying jackets out there who aren't on these forums ;)
Think I said it before, I own several Schotts. I actually like the builds. C'mon at least they put on an appropriate sized zipper :) and will replace the hardware if it ever breaks...
a little tight no doubt, but I dont think you're that far off. Maybe another .25 on the ptp and shoulders. But it all depends on how you want to wear the jacket. I think going to 46 is going to be too big especially in the waist. You need to find a bigger sized 44.
Saw this in my email as well. Looks really nice. But I've got enough Schotts in my closet already. And now having tried other brands, I find myself looking elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, my 118 is still my favorite and just love that gooey aniline leather on it. But I've had to hardcore...
super picky and for 98% of the world, the jacket fits you fine, but is a little boxy in the shoulders and a little airy in the chest. If it were all leather, I think the eventual drape would fix all that, but given the combo, not sure.
Ton confirmed what I had mentioned earlier. I think you're a 44. Keep in mind a racer is supposed to fit snug and the CXL will stretch about a half size, Not like uncomfortable, but it's not really supposed to be a layering jacket. The model you tried, did it have shoulder gussets? That...
the cafe racer has a taper from chest to waist. the board racer is more straight line down, so kind of depends on your body type, but sounds like you're more cafe racer.
I'm 6'0 and 185 and was shocked to fit into a 40. Was snug at first but has loosened up. So you're probably a 44 if I had...
Another vote for Greg. I'm about a month away of having my grail jacket delivered, a J100 inspired racer. We must have exchanged at least 20 emails on sizing and bespoke options. I have total confidence he will nail it. And more importantly, you can tell he's a genuine good person. Fortune...
gorgeous jacket. Think it would fit me perfect at 6'0 185. Little worried about sleeve length though. 24? I'm used to like 26 unless your measurement is done differently.
Really don't need this, but I want a LW to round up the collection. Brown would be better, but alas. Anyway, let me...
this looks cool. maybe worthy of a 5 star repro:
