I contacted the company today, not knowing of Mr Botwright's passing, and received this reply: "Due to the death of the proprietor we have had to take down the website. The new company will be trading as of Monday 6th November, so you will be able to order from the same website address from...
I contacted Wested today (via email) to ask about these coats and got this reply:
Due to the death of the proprietor we have had to take down the website. The new company will be trading as of Monday 6th November, so you will be able to order from the same website address from this date onward.

Thanks guys.
BigJ, I'm with you on the "god" stuff and the 2D oligarch bad guy. I could see those elements in the trailers and it made me wary. As for a television series, that's been done: check out Total Recall 2070 series from 1999, which had little to do with Total Recall and a lot to do...
^ Thanks for the review. Too bad it didn't work out for you and they're obviously not careful with packaging for shipping. Re fit, if you look at old photos (we have a thread on original Irvins here somewhere) you'll see that these jackets fitted big and over several layers of other clothing.
Got this navy blue vintage Burberry coat recently. It's the usually Burberry cotton/poly blend but it's heavier than normal and kind of stiff, probably close to waterproof. The flaps over the pockets are useless as is the throat strap (I'd rather have just a tab with button for the collar)...
Take a look at the last couple pages of this thread, and a few comments sprinkled throughout the thread.

Re-posting that from the main movie thread. Thanks for that review. Has anyone else seen this film? I'd like to see it in the cinema but it's 2 hours 44 minutes in length and I can't go that long without a "break" these days, ha ha
In a couple of books I've got the interior of the B2 jacket appears to be wool-lined, not shearling-lined. I agree the overall shape and config strongly resembles the Irvin and without any knowledge of the topic I'd guess the Americans copied or were inspired by the Irvin in designing a heavy...
^ Most excellent find, Michael, and it fits perfectly. J Press is a venerable brand which most people haven't heard of unless they're into the whole preppy thing.
I sometimes think the goal is to make people lazy and dependent on tech reminding them and guiding them and, ultimately, thinking for them, so they can be eased out of the workplace and won't realize they've been replaced by an a.i. until it's too late. I look forward to initiating all those...
Apparently, one of the jacket's "capabilities" is it can only be washed 10 times, or maybe it's another Levi's Smart Jacket. Whatever. It's a way to separate people from their money.

Funny story: During the same time I was in UofW my best friend from high school went to Queens, which had a big engineering school too. All the engineering students wore the leather jackets but it was looked down on to have a brand-new, unworn jacket so the first years would try all sorts of...
