Lol, i figured...
I took the liberty of calling it "night rider" in reference to the black/white Trojan models that had that name.
I asked Stuart and he said Buco never actually had a black/white version, this jacket was ordered like that by someone but wasn't inspired by a real vintage jacket.
This is the best i have right now, she is still in the mail.
I will definitely post better pics when i get it.
I have actually ordered studio lights and am going to try to increase my pic quality, getting a camera tripod made me realize how much better my jacket pics could be, i am on a...

Thanks,
Something else they did to that jacket, was make the wrist openings huge.
All 10 of my Vansons have wrist openings that are between 4" and 4.5" measured flat side to side when zippered shut.
With that mesurement i can comfortably fit shorty gloves inside the sleeve opening and get a...

I have never handled a Branded Garment jacket so can't comment on that.
What i like about this specific Vanson you posted is the fact that the hide itself is a light brown/beige rather than the classic blue/grey that i usually see.
My 90s Swedish rider Vanson is like that and it is very nice...
Not trying to start an argument here, but IMO @willyto is right...
Yes there is some wiggle room to allow for personnal preference, but in general to be functional a motorcycle jacket has to be short. (unless you are talking trial style longer jackets)
It has to be short enough that the bottom...
They really don't...
A few years ago there was a scandal at Aero because the guy in charge sold people Steer whilst telling them it was horse, there where even jackets made from a combination of steer and horse.
No one ever spotted a difference...
Some will say steer is grainier, horse has a...
The only complete failure i saw on a leather jacket was a Himel Canuck, the entire shoulder had torn open, from top shoulder seam to pit, the leather had torn just like a cinema ticket would, the stitching was still intact. But you could see that the "bridges" in between each hole just tore...
That was great, thank you.
Now i want to see a series of sample being pulled to failure by one of those machines that tests ropes, to see if the difference is actually noticeable and how much of an effect it has.
I have wondered the same thing many times and have not been able to come to a conclusion that wasn't just a guess.
Someone who owns a sewing machine should use it to prick lines of holes at different density and see if they can rip one line easier than the other. (using the same leather of...
Not sure what you mean by durability when talking about a jacket, as most of us don't do anything in our jackets that would challenge durability, but i have been beating the crap out if deerskin work gloves for years and they are tough.
They'll get scratched up pretty fast, but the skin itself...
Agreed.
I don't even know how one would put Lewis in the same category as Aero and SB.
Sure, Aero and SB are on the same level, (neither brands are IMO "top-tierish"), but Lewis is definitely a step up from both...
Like @MrProper is saying, the problem is that if you then try to sell that jacket on, 99% of jacket enthusiast will think that jacket is worthless and the number of people ready to spend money on it will be very small.
I would not spend £100 on it, pretty sure @Dav wouldn't either, pretty sure...
The collar is wrong, it should reach almost to the shoulders and it doesn't.
I remember reading a post about some dude who had the collar of his B-3 altered to be smaller because he felt the giant collar looked stupid, it was years ago. The guy had a seamstress cut half of his collar off.
I...
I have had two Aero jackets made after being measured at the factory and both were too big, i sold both and ended up sizing down 1 size from what i was told would fit me.
I am a 42 in most things, 40 in all my Aero's.
