It's the naval-type (rather than USAAC) A-1, so it's a 37J1, or version of one - again, like the A-1 there were different manufacturers with different detailing.
Thought that it might, but keep me in the loop anyway. Having owned multiple copies of the ELC A-1 (42 and 44) and GW A-1 (older domestic US capeskin, Italian capeskin and soon the current domestic US capeskin), I'll be very interested to see how it compares.
