I found mine to be a bit large in the sizing. Nice jacket. Send Gail an email, she is an expert in all things Schott, and is usually pretty quick to reply. Or just ring a store that carries them and ask.
Hog man and HD, I'm grateful for the heads up. I run pubs for a living, and spill rum for a hobby. In between I tiptoe through letters from the bank and pay $10 a week off my bike mechanics bill. I don't need a fragile jacket. I've scrapped up enough for a j 106 and and a teamster, I thought I...
Sloan do you know if it will stain like nubuck, how will it cope in the rain? I know they are tough hides, I just know nought about them, as I've always had my eye on others hides. Cheers.
Cheers guys, it looks quite nice, I just don't need something that will stain easily. I've never really considered the oils pull apart from some of the darker, "greasier" chocolate coloured ones I've seen.
I'm still bitter twisted about missing a teamster 6 months ago, perfect measurements...
Merry Christmas guys, thanks for all of the advice, help and cheeky fun. This forum is a great cauldron of knowledge. It's also the most expensive free site I've ever found.....bless you all.
Hi guys,
Ive been offered a 2nd hand half belt in mint condition. I think it is the oil pull leather. There seems to be quite a variation of the texture over the years with this offering. The jacket is overseas, so am unable to feel the texture, or get a decent real life look. The owner says it...
It just looks "off". I think you have articulated it beautifully Sloan....I really dig the ones with hair panels. The LW one looks very sharp, as does the Aero Palomino horse number. I need to build up a few more classic staples before I start going left field and fruity...
I think the AL version is rancid. I really like the grizzly, unsure if I would have the balls to wear one. I could wear the horse hair number on my bike, and have seriously considered a couple, but the AL version looks too extreme even for a croc wearer like me.
You will be sad to know it closed a couple of months ago Garry....the owners of the building have put another hair dressing salon or so etching in. Good news, the brewer guy has opened his own place in Braddon, just up the road, and there is another 2 similar joints open there aswell. A whole...
Sounds great Garry!
What chest measurement did you give them? My experience with Aero is that the sizing is all over the shop. I'm going to put my order in once the guys are back and I can confirm a few bits and pieces.
I'm in .canberra mate btw. Many years in
Sydney, and quite a few up in...
I would check with Carrie or Aero re back length. There are a couple of variations of length guys here have used. Some have gone a fairly short, a bit below the belt line, and some have gone for a more standard length. I'm lining up a teamster right now also.
A fur collar would be different, I...
Wow, I hadn't really ever thought too much of the nuances of vest sizing. I had, in fact always thought of it as a "jacket without sleeves". I think maybe because the vests I've often looked at are for
riding in, most look do indeed look like mc jackets minus sleeves.
I really like the look...
Just saw a Shackleton on the Aero sale page. I think it looks pretty smart, but I don't know a great deal about this model. I'm wondering if there's a typo, or if someone could shed some light on it for me. It's a size 50" with a pit to pit of 21.75" and it's £50 more than the retail. It's in...
The consolation I get in our horrid winter is wearing decent jackets and boots. There is no other reason to be happy.....too many years living in the heat for me. The cold is my enemy,
