I'm no longer sure what anyone posting here is trying to demonstrate. Is it that jackets should fit snug, or they should fit loose. Both are evidenced in photos. (This reminds me of the A-2 discussions, in which I suspect most people see a few photos which they like, but make the mistake of...
^ That looks really good, Thor. Side zips are a nice feature, as are the cuff buttons (very rare on modern police jackets). I bet the jacket would serve you well on your job, except all your passengers would be thinking you were the "Ferry Police"!
With respect, the originals were made in only a few sizes, so there was never a possibility of a "proper" fit. I've seen some significant differences in old photos.
I didn't realize this but the USMC is using wool greatcoats on parades, or in some instances anyways. Maybe Micheal will find one of these coats thrifting and we'll get to see some close-up photos.

Just shoot me a message via the forum here and provide a gmail or hotmail address or whatever you use. BN1966 can attest I'm not some nutter, so you don't need to worry about being flooded with neo nazi propaganda or whatnot. My "manual" isn't done but I'll send what I've got once I give it a...
