Here are the TFL related posts:
"dude TFL is very knowledgeable but they aren't big on "fit". Ive seen a lot of really awfully fitting jackets there."
"They're also not very big on, shall we say, a diversity of opinion"
"do they wear jackets open or closed over there ?"
"There is a thread over...
IMO it is because of poor shoulder/neckhole design.
You can see that jacket is just hanging on the neck of the wearer...
It's an Aero trademark (some models do it more than other, and it is worst on some body types), personally it gives me neck/backpain quickly.
Fingers crossed!
I tried them at the pop up store, i really couldn't fit in a 42, 44 was right but still a little short.
In a perfect world i would want a 44L.
Even a 44 was really not blousy on me.
(i'm a 42 in the roadstar, Californian and Windward, but 44 in Flightjackets)
I feel like we are talking past each other.
I didn't say that dressing like these guys and owning a bike would not make you a poser, they are, this is as you say reenactment.
To me there is no difference between the above "bikers" and these guys:
Edit:
And the pic of that girl you posted...
I think you are somewhat missing my point.
I assume your trench coat doesn't have fake bullet holes, blood stains and knife slashes on it... It isn't "army distressed"!
Same with denim, i don't think you have to work in a mine to wear denim, but i don't see the point in buying new denim that...
It's not even about the clothing itself being fake i think, it's about trying to project an image of yourself that is fake.
At least that's how i would feel wearing industrially pre distressed clothing, i would feel like i was posing/ wearing fancy dress.
(Once again, not judging anyone who...
I don't know, maybe i feel that way because i actually get jeans to look like that by doing things that get them dirty...
I never understood the "distressed look", just buy things new and wear them.
I'll sell these to anyone on TFL for 499$, the stains are real grease, the tears are authentic...
That looks really good, you couldn't ask for a better fit.
That whole Aero VAT thing is weird though, you basically paid VAT twice on that jacket, once to the UK, once to Germany.
Is that even legal?
I really don't want to be rude, but IMO this is silly.
These probably cost a fortune but they look like walmart jeans that have been used to work in the woods for 6 months!
To me these are jeans for people who have never changed a tyre or used a chainsaw in their life but want to feel/look...
All i wear are IH 634, it works for me.
Sometimes i'll wear a leather jacket with my workpants (carhartt B01) and that works well too.
The high rise of this model really works with short jackets like Cal or other CHP models. I call that "going @El Marro"
The ELMC website says of the windward:
"The outline pocket is piped inside with leather, not cloth cord, which in turn is sewn with an American top-stitch to hold securely."
Nice!
That's probably the first time i am seeing patina on a LW item, you did it!
If i where you i would send it back to Stu to have the zipper changed and i would use it for another 15 years.
