you know, Jin. I remember you talking about this jacket and how you had messed up the shoulder measurement because you based it on denim and didn't account for the leather thickness, etc. etc. But it's actually not bad. Interestingly enough, with those tighter shoulders, you're not getting...
LOL, I think you're stuck with this and not saying that in a bad way. I think CHPs are only interesting to certain people, and most of those people already have one. There's nothing wrong with your price, in fact it's a steal, but might take you a while to find someone who wants one of these...
yep, this. I really like mine but there's something "off" in the mid section to bottom. It's strange though because mathematically the jacket should be super tight on me, but it's not. I like my Thedi unzipped better than zipped, but still giving it time to work the leather some. We'll see...
whatever your favorite leather conditioner is. I've used vaseline before, it works, but some of the other brands have "fancy" oils as well to help nourish.
Personally, on a black jacket, I usually use a mix of coconut oil and beeswax. Brown is trickier though because you have to be careful...
No vaseline until you know for sure it's completely dry, otherwise you just going to lock in the water.
Spray with diluted white vinegar or diluted rubbing alcohol, let air dry several more days, hang outside weather permitting. After about a week, hit it with some pecards.
I got to have my wife call my credit card company and tell them to ban any transactions to Thedi, Greece. Their line is dangerous. I think I would seriously consider selling all my other jackets except for 2 or 3, and then taking the proceeds and maybe buying 2 or 3 Thedis. But then I know...
Classic Schott Racer. The one I have and similar to what Monitor got. I can't tell if it has the windflap from the photos, but it should.
Vintage Schott Perfecto Leather Cafe Racer Motorcycle Jacket Size 44 Brown Talon | eBay
Based on the glowing reviews I picked up a couple of these Gap Truckers in past 2 days. Here's another one in small (although measurements sound more like a M) for $48. If you're the right size, sounds like a no brainer. Although this has a different tag, so not sure if it's the same quality...
this is good advice. I did something similar when I went a little overboard shrinking my Schott 519 and developed the waves. It helped some, but I know if I tried again it would work even better.
I have a Thedi as well, and it has the waves. It's definitely from the washing process with...
thedi getting some love before it gets too hot for the shearling. It's a little boxy in the torso which is surprising because by the pure measurements, it shouldn't even fit me. But the leather has got a way to go to break in more and then hopefully I'll get a better drape.
Forza @Marco_Massini. Saluti dall'America!!!
Why do I click on these threads knowing I have a weakness :p:p:p:p
This is looking like an Italian Thedi and I mean that in the nicest way possible. I'll be watching closely, but could see one or two of these coming my way.
that zipper, wow!!!
Give it a thorough soaking, then spin dry to get out most of the water, then blast on high heat. At first leave unzipped, then zip up once it's about 50% dry. It needs a little more shrinking to fit you better. When you think it's dry, let it go another 10 or 20 minutes...
I only have 2 Vansons. The other is an early 1980s C2 that feels like lamb skin but not thin like lamb skin and definitely a lot more grain. It is superb. I don't think that's what known as comp weight in today's reference, but whatever it is, it's awesome. More of a midweight leather I'd...
there was the more chestnut brown one last week someone was selling. It was a large and probably would have fit perfect. I dilly dallied too long and someone grabbed it. I think the XL will be too big, although I've thought about doing the wash and dryer technique. It worked really well on my...
you guys have me second guessing, like I wasn't already. Like I said, this is for a plea to someone who really, really, really wants one. Yeah, otherwise, I'll figure out how to get some wears on it. It just got pushed to the back with a few new arrivals, but I guess classics will stand the...
