That is provided someone did not "upgrade" the liner. I have seen some on the bay that were obviously later hats with an earlier liner put in "aftermarket".....(they had tags from the later 80's, those with inch and metric sizing and the sellers were saying the hats were from the 50's!!!!!!!)...
Well, I DO like the Black Homburgs, BUT, I need only so many. I have approx. half a doz. That with the already overflowing black fedora's of which I own very considerably more:eek:.....fills my bucket (for now anyway:rolleyes:). They need to be very very very special for me to consider...
I do not believe I posted this here...another British example I picked up. James Robinson and Sons. It is black and it is quite imposing......one of my favorites.
Here we have a early 50's??? Knox Premier with a period pug. Originally sold at the "White House"!!!:eek::rolleyes:;) of San Francisco...... This is one of the hats that came to me with a few pugs. It also hat the original black ribbon and bow that were sewn together and had hooks installed...
I have a solid 1950's CLEAN soft, thin, Stetson Royal Deluxe Open Road for Trade! I am looking for something simular ( in quality) in a 7 1/2 LO or 7 5/8. Now this is a mid-50's OR (dress fedora version) when they were "shrinking" them a litte, so it is about a 5 1/4 inch open crown with a 2...
Well, this one fit the bill for me!!! It is in perfect shape and has a great presence!!
I have one of their skimmers too.....it is a later one (60's I think)...but really nice as well!!!
