I love the finish on the Biltmore, Brent. Great looking hat. Was that originally sold at Hat's Meow?
Really great looking Borsalino, Bill. i'm liking that jacket too. Great look.

When I first glanced at that last shot of your Gamebird I thought maybe this guy had gotten hold of it.

End of the month already?

Thanks Stefan. I'm guessing these ribbons were seen mostly around racetracks in 1959.
If I didn't know that you are joined at the hip to Miss Borsalino I might think Diana was turning your head. Both fine hats and nice to see the sunshine.
Thanks,
Michael
Yesterday some late 60s or 70s leather from Lonnigans' Sport

Very chilly and windy here this morning. So the German pants from the 60s are making what is probably their last wearing of the season.

Enjoy your Saturday,
Michael
It is a wide ribbon for sure. Must have been the in thing in the late 50s and early 60s.
The Knox you have on today is really, really nice. Love the wider binding.
Thanks,
Michael

Have a great Friday,
Michael
that's the company. I'll trade you the watch for a Studebaker Hawk. Ha ha. Always one of my favorite car designs.
They did a good job of embroidering all of those spaniels and mallards on there.
Thanks,
Michael
Mine is the trooper or ranger style, but i assume it's the same milan. It's also a sort of mid brown with a golden brown ribbon. The sweating is only evident on the ribbon. In truth, I think I prefer the cloth sweat for hats that get hard wear. I regularly cook out leather sweats. Maybe my...
Brent, I have one with a cloth sweat. I find the sweat comfortable to wear, but the hat is fairly warm for a milan. I wear it often in the woods, as Bob does, while mushrooming and I've sweated up the ribbon pretty well. There is a moisture barrier behind the cloth sweat, but it's not a cure...
Another pair of US Army field/dress wool pants.

These are missing the label, but judging by the construction details I would say there are cut on the 1945 pattern. OD serge again, but button fly on these.

Found a couple of not very old ties yesterday.

Neither one has a maker's label, but the cotton Madras has a WPL number that tells me it was made by Warnaco.

Thanks Anthony. It's a little outside of my usual bailiwick, but I've gotten a lot of compliments on the Carhartt. And the old Red Wing Logger's. And even a few on the Stetson. Ha ha.
Thanks,
Michael
