I have a feeling this Heroes is a somewhat modernized pattern, looking at the shoulder & forearm. Maybe it’s just that Bowie was so thin, the Heroes photos & Sense if Doubt video shows a very slim jacket.

Top coat cracking is really not an issue. Don’t worry, this is my ultimate comment. To put it in perspective, an extreme case of desirable cracking is the sheepskin used on WW2 B3. They WILL crack and form a tile pattern/turtle shell, & it’s good. The top coat is just some kind of acrylic, only...
After having met them in the shop, for sure they are one of the best to talk to! Hey, they have a pre-owned, low mileage, full blown contrast stitching, mouton collar, arm pockets, padded columbia, almost my size except sleeve girth. Someone should grab it!

Correction about PrettyLemonade, sorry Holly! I thought you are Denny.
Anyway, I can’t wait to order a Heroes jacket in my size. Not sure about the dimensions, sleeve size, shoulders etc. according to the male model it looks pretty straightforward.

Am I to understand it’s Ken’s son posting here?
In any case, when I saw this, I got a very mixed feeling, it’s excitement & upset. Here’s why.
Last year, or in 2017, I emailed Ken about “who made the Heroes jacket” that I really want one & can Ken make one. Ken said he made it, then I did a...
Just placed an order for a russet Dubow! What great price! So Platon took some of the workers? Is Platon a member here?

Really psyched right now. Just finished custom ordering my first custom Langlitz. Bennie was great! It’s a Sidewinder, no side lace, diamond shoulder pads, flat elbow pads, one hand warmer one Harley D pocket. Chevron back yoke.

The right hand side row of buttons (as viewed from front), are decorative, not functional, meaning theres no gap/elevation from the leather, so the thick button hole on the lapel side just can't do it. There is one easy way to remedy, I'll just re-sew the top or top two buttons, make them...
& note: there’s no way to secure the lapel when jacket is not fully buttoned/closed. This is probably how they evolved into the snap downs. The left row of buttons are all decorative, sewn too close to the leather & left no space. I wanted to button the left lapel to the left corner button only...
the leather is heavy indeed, judging from the pad overlay, seems to be 1.5mm! It’s jerky, a bit like Gibson Barnes but much more subtle grain. Traveling in it tells me it’s a very nice jacket, for mobility & protection. Only problem is the ever flapping lapel, don’t try to eat a sandwich without...
