Thanks guys, I'm getting that the measuring and estimation of a B3 fit , is a bit more of an art than a science! :-) i.e lots of trial and error... I know its a hard question but your answers are helpful. It sounds like if I took the measurements that I normally use on a leather jacket...
Hi Folks, I'll try to be as brief as possible with this one :-)
I'm thinking of getting a used B3 (probably a Schott, or Avirex) as those are closer to my budget. I normally take a 40 -42
Pit to Pit 23 "
Shoulders 20"
Sleeve 25'
length of back 26"
I followed the advice on the forum for how...
Second that! Very helpful. With those measurements it fits slightly smaller in the sleeves and chest compared to the US wings modern A2 that I have which are: pit to pit : 24 " Shoulders :20" and sleeves: 25"
Good to know! Thank you .
Thanks everybody for the warm welcome!! I feel better about that purchase already. :) Not sure about ever getting to a Ferrari, but maybe above a Volkswagon would be nice for now! I'm definitely one for enjoying the journey of learning! Thanks again !
Cheers!

Hi Ron, I'm new to the site, still figuring my way around. Beautiful jacket...I have a US wings large modern A2. Which I have up on ebay as it's a bit blousy for me. Have you had the experience of trying that one on? Was curious how this one fits in comparison?
Cheers, Wade
