    Flight jacket repair?

There must be a reason why the messages aren't answered. Gary is keen to do business and usually responds to questions within 48 hours. I think he travels away from the factory/office on business, so can't always answer questions immediately. Could it be a spam issue ? I know this doesn't...

Would a B3 entirely overlayed in horsehide be uncomfortable to wear?

There is a seller on ebay that has these all the time. Do a search for 'Army leather jerkin' and you should find it. They are £59 new repro, probably not as good as Aero though.

ALL REPRO R.A.F. Irvin type jackets

I have a sample of the leather from The Few RAF, not much like any original I have seen.

Would a B3 entirely overlayed in horsehide be uncomfortable to wear?

You could buy a shortened one the same length as the B-3

Would a B3 entirely overlayed in horsehide be uncomfortable to wear?

Why not buy a horsehide army jerkin to wear over it ? Aero make these out of FQHH for around £150. If you get too hot you could take it off. The extra length would also be useful for added warmth and protection. They have no arms, and as the B-3 are already has arms covered by HH this would...

Would a B3 entirely overlayed in horsehide be uncomfortable to wear?

This jacket already exists, it's called a B-1 and is made by The Few and retails for around $2500. I think any overlays are added before the jacket is assembled. They might need to take the jacket apart to do this so it might not be worth it.

I agree with the comments made by other more knowledgeable members. Eastman every time. I just love the arm shape, and the body cut.

    Eastman Broken finish B-3

Mine is a 44. I would say that it is quite a trim fit with not too much room for layering.

    Wilfred Owen/ Jereny Paxman jacket

Not remotely close to the one he wears, which is much nicer.

    Eastman Broken finish B-3

To be fair, because the surface is dull, it is difficult to appreciate it without feeling it and wearing it. It feels slightly textured to the touch, and the acrylic is pretty thin. I think it will wear in quickly.

    Eastman Broken finish B-3

I only have ELC B-3's at the moment Believe me the finish isn't like plastic. I have had a few B-3's in my time, Aero, Lost Worlds, Eastman and the very expensive Chapal. This one is among the best so far.

    Wilfred Owen/ Jereny Paxman jacket

This was hip length, double breasted with two waist patch pockets and a belt. It was in dark brown oiled leather. It had a very retro look.

They're all stuffed into a cupboard. I have sold some recently so my total number is actually smaller now.

    Eastman Broken finish B-3

It's here and well worth the short wait of about a week. Eastman do everything well. The jacket arrived beautifully bagged, boxed and wrapped by courier. I am a smallish size 44 and this jacket is quite a trim fit just over a T shirt, so that could be a consideration for others when ordering...

    Wilfred Owen/ Jereny Paxman jacket

Did anyone see this documentary on BBC last week ? The presenter Jeremy Paxman wore a WW1 style hip length jacket with patch pockets and a belt. It looked like oiled HH and was superb. Can anyone tell me who made it ?

New Aero A-1 in oil-pull HH

I like it a lot. I had an A1 in oil pull steer, it suede d quickly around the button holes. The colour wasn't as good as yours though.
