I have never actually seen a pair of WPG 1936 pattern boots - but somehow they do not look like the real thing.
They have been discussed previously here:

But if accuracy is not important, go for it!
US calvary Magazine? Weren't they connected to Cockpit? My first 1936 Pattern Boots were from Cockpit - unfortunately they were a bit too tight. But the biggest problem were the black, thick, profiled rubber soles!!!!! Horrible!
Thanks mate!
Funny thing is, if you wear the boots without the jacket some people ask wether you have a motorcycle.
And if it's really cold and with lots of snow, people are envious at the boots and asks where I bought them.
When you wear the Irvin - without the boots - it attracts lots of...
"In costume for Piece of Cake!" lol lol lol
It's true what Stand By wrote. Combining the Irvin and the 1936 pattern boots give a certain look.
I very seldom uses my Irvin AND my boots together. Only when I have to drive very far in the wintertime, and snow is all over the place. Then I always...

I bought a pair from AERO - but...

100GBP for a train ticket???? Where are you getting on?

As far as I can see it's about 35GBP for a ticket from London to Cambridge. From Cambridge there are - or used to be - FREE shuttle busses from the train station to the airfield.
It's just amazing how this thread went from leatherjackets to jeans to watches. That's what I like about this forum - or parts of it anyway. Total lack of discipline.

Just use it. Throw it around. Sleep in it...whatever. They don't need anything.
Although I have been on the Quest for the Holy Grail of repro Irvins, for many, many years, I have only had one at a time. In order to buy the next one I sold the one I had. So I am that one and only Irvin type of man.
On the other hand I used to own several A2's (5 or 6) at one time until I...
