Sounds like summer arrives here today. Melvin gets the call for the norning.

Have a good one,

Thanks Steve. I think this was the first or second western hat that I bought when I started out with hats. It was the pin that sold me. Well, that and the brim roll. haha. It's always been a bit tight in the forehead region, not because it is too small, but because it's too round. After a...
Thanks BB. I guess, now that I think of it, I have a Marathon with a 2 1/4" brim.

I haven't opened them up and measured, but my feeling is that the Marathon has a shorter crown and more taper than the Wide Country. I have to say that for being a size...
Thanks Bob. Great blue roll brim you got and great that it fits.
Thanks Randy. Nice hats don't show up often, but every now and then.
Thanks for the info, Jack. After looking at a few LBJ photos and my hat I'm sort of coming around to the idea of 2 1/4" for a western dress hat brim. I see...
While I was out on my exercise ride this morning I stopped at my favorite thrift and got a couple of hats. First a cheapo straw

Thanks Perry. I'll have to rewatch that movie one of these days. Nice looking Stetson you are wearing today.
Thanks Randy. He did seem to like a white hat. And better Ernaest Tubb than Ernest T. Bass.
Thanks, Hat. That's a nice looking milan you have on today.
Thanks all,
Michael

This felt is about the best stuff ever, but now that the sun is toying with coming out it's going to move into the straw...
Thanks Doug.
Those are quite probably my widest lapels. ha ha.
Thanks Stefan.
Another fine trio of hats. I'm not sure how you can make up your mind on one hat in the morning. You have so many fine ones.
Thanks,
Michael
Thanks Steve. I've got a couple of his jackets. Sorry to say, though, that I almost always put more weight on the fashion advice of beautiful young women that are standing in front of me than internet connections. Ha ha.
Maybe I should have used some capitalization. I meant Kind of Blue...
Thanks Scott. The first round has about worked through now and we only got a quarter inch. Now if you can keep that other stuff in Nebraska for the rest of the day there might be some music here tonight.
Michael
Thanks Steve. It is a nice tan hat. The jacket is a Brad Whitney. He was located at Carmel by the Sea, which is Clint Eastwood's stomping grounds. And in fact, did Clint's costumes in Play Misty for Me. He did some pretty cool work from the late 50s til at least the late 70s.
The Polish...
Went downtown last night to catch a little outdoor music. With the Polish cap

Thanks Steve. Glad to hear it improved your mood.
Thanks Garrett. I'll agree. Your Tonak with the new ribbon is a fantastic hat. Love the color of the felt and the ribbon. Great photos, too.
Thanks,
Michael
Thanks Max. The Marathon seems to like the light this morning particularly well. And I seem to be in a monochrome mood the last couple of days.
Thanks,
Michael
